Everybody had the same problem, probably the most important thing to make yourself unique.
The thing you had to make before you could battle.

Your very own Character Name.
And everybody knows you can change it, but in what?

All the cool names are already taken, and by who?
95% of all the cool names are taken by?

Lvl 1 Characters with 5 wins in 1vs1 and nothing more.
They should be deleted out of the game, because now they have taken the Names and stopped playing for 2 years.

But how?
Reminders, send a reminder too all players (the lvl 1 characters) that havent been online for 1 year or longer.
If they then dont login within 1 month,
Delete them, forever, the whole account.

So people can take names that now are taken by inactive players.

(I saw in the list character deletion but didnt know what exactly so i suggested anyway)

Not supported. This would be totally unfair to those players especially if they decided to come back only to find out that there account was deleted. especially those who worked hard to get their records and decided to take a break only to find out their account were deleted because someone just wanted their unique name.

If they took a break, they would come online after the reminder and still keep their whole account.
And a break for 1 whole year? Come on, thats not a break

Umm, yes it is! I have a friend who left from beta and came back just as delta started! It's when older players can't find time to play due to year 12 VCA exams or work...

There are players who have taken 6 month breaks and other who have taken longer breaks from the game. Image their surprise if they come back and find out their accounts were deleted. All of their hard work would have gone down the tubs. It wouldn't be fair to those players. Yes there are some that won't come back, however to those who have taken long breaks or something has happened that keeps them away they would lose all their hard work.

Real life things do happen that can keep players away. Your idea would hurt those players especially if they can't get access to a computer to read your email. Tell me how would you feel if you lost all of your hard work on something just because you decided to take a break or couldn't get to something before said time limit is up? You wouldn't like it would you? That is how those people would feel if this went into play.

Also what about players who spent money in the game? there money will go down the drain with this idea as well if they are deleted.

Even if they cant come online for 1 year, they can still go online for 1 minute just to keep their account.

if they can check their emails, they can login to keep their whole account for another year.
The reminder can also give a link, and if they click on it, their whole account will stay alive.

So no, it will be the best thing to work, since reminders always helps to get players back to this game.

And they can always expand the time limit too 2 months.
If they cant check their mail for 2 months because they dont have a computer, they probably wont come back ever.

Definitely not supported. i took an 18 month break and not too long ago i came back and i wud be furious if my stuff and char were deleted

Seriously? People have lives that are outside of this game. This can sometimes hinder them getting onto a computer. Many things can happen on the outside that will keep them away from the game. I could list them and they are realistic, however I won't do so.

Any character from alpha lvl 1-5 I could see free up that name with no wins. A year break not supported.

DaBombExpert,

You were gone for about 18 months, you probably checked your mail once every 2 months, didnt you?
You would only had too click 1 single link to keep your account.
You would do it, admit it.

And for all, READ. Im talking about lvl 1 noobs with only 5 wins.
Not people who put in a lot of work..

You suggestion stated that if they were inactive for a year would get a reminder and they after a month they would get deleted. As it was stated before real life and circumstances can keep people away from the game or even a computer. Your idea would be punishing those people. Especially those who paid money into the game.

Also off all the websites I have been to and off all the online games I have played none and I mean none of them have ever deleted users due to inactivity.

That also refers too the the players i mentioned before. i thought everybody would understand that.
Thats my bad. But i meant the lvl 1 characters.

Even if its not for the names, they still should delete all those people that only have 5 wins.

Honestly if u choose an awesome name that is truly original it wont be taken.

That reason above is why u dont run this game. hahaa they are much smarter than you and know that those lvl 1's with 5 wins might come back n pay for the game therefore deletin is a horrible idea

@above i used to reserve lots of lvl 1 characters incase i mess up my account and my lvl 1 character would have the beta and gamma cheevo. i currently have 3 lvl 1 characters with these rare cheevos. and i have no wins on any of them..does that mean they need to be deleted? like everyone said, you are just plain selfish

All read my suggestion again, so there are no misunderstandings anymore.

I only meant the lvl 1 characters.

And no Trizz, if you click on the link, or the characters are already in the same active account it will not be deleted

Yeah, and Trizz, they wont get deleted. So it wont effect you, nor any others that have spend time or money on the game.
And if the lvl 1 characters click on the link they still be alive.

And Mr. Clean XD, thats not really any of your business is it?
I had this problem when i started with this game, and when i switched to this name (Mysterion. , i had an other name before) i saw this problem.

You could always just add gaps in the name, add a symbol, letter, or anything at the beginning or end and boom you can have the name. Just because you can't put the name perfectly doesn't mean you can't have it.

I agree with this by a small margin Mysterion. Most of the cool names have been taken by people which doesn't do much. I wanted to change my name but it was taken and that guy isn't even playing. An email to be sent to the account creator with notification from the DNs to aware them and it should inform them.

All the cool and good names have been claimed be noobs.

A simple email informing you about your inactiveness for 1 year. You click the link and it will spare your account. If you fail to click the link for 90 days, it will be deleted.
This will not happen to players who have purchased Varium or over level 5.
This also won't happen every time. Just one day sometime in the distant future.

I shouldn't be here and I think this is wrong but it is something to be aware of. There are accounts that haven't been logged in from creation.

Adding numbers and other symbols make the name look unoriginal.

I just want the lvl 8 alpha named The Chosen One to be deleted. He hasnt logged in for 4 years and has like 26 wins. Nonvarium too btw.

well, i only wanted somebody named ferrin to be erased then ended up putting "fes" in front. adding words to great names is quite easy
