yup, sounds very much like AQW, but its still a good system, it means i can use my suggestion weapons that are lvl 32 and 30.

I am actually against the idea overall. an item should be unique, not have 1000+ variations on stats.
sounds like you could be facing players in level 1 items, that are as powerful as those with level 35 items.

I like this idea. Now players can't really complain about items getting outdated so quickly since they can just buff their weapon now.

Also now we aren't limited to only a set of weapons because that is all the cap has.

If I wanted to I could buy back the gear I use in my bio; High priest armor, Caden's Wraith, Desert Blaster, and Rebel, and make that my default gear. Of course I won't because my armor is me serving the memory of Big Tuna's work

All the more reason to grind for the expensive weps - the only differentiation of power will be total enhancement slots...

To all those who dream of enhancing their starter weps - shouldn't there be a level cap for enhancement? Why would anyone purchase new weapons?

Maybe like +10 levels - so at least we get another round of founder/beta stuff - they had nice designs.

@zion Chances are high that you'll have to pay for buffing the weapon to level cap so you really won't be all that well off buying low level gear to avoid the high level costs. And you also have to consider the stats and effects(if applicable) of the items.

And weapons will likely going to have their own stat and damage models as Titan has said. So weapons will have their own model; stats can be for example Dex/Tech lean so upgrading will focus on Dex and Tech but you may get +1 Str or Support every now and then.
Lvl 31 weapon will be much cheaper to upgrade to Lvl 35 than Lvl 1 -> 35. You may keep the weapon you want for looks from lower Level but it'll just cost you more and more to upgrade. And certain items will still be exclusive to top players as it is.

BTW I think this is a great idea - the AQW inventory system works - hundreds of thousands of people play the game each day!
And it solves the enhancement issue - namely, fear for enhancing an item that will be underpowered by the next release. This system should reward players who stick with the game...

Oh and glad I didn't sell Caden's Wrath for a third time - its always useful for the tech abuse builds!

Probably 1,100 varium. And then another 1,100 varium to enhance. Weapon will cost you around 955.

So about 3k varium per weapon.

I think there will also be a credit option as well. I think this because if they make it only a varium player feature it would only serve to increase the gap they were trying to close. Hopefully when they do make the credit option it doesn't cost an arm and leg like enhancements do now.
