Edme MacHeath -> Name changing question (11/24/2012 20:54:28)

I heard you can change your name by asking a AK or mod or something..
Who do you ask?(for future refference...)

And what happens if the name you want is taken but the person who uses it never logs in the forums

Seahawk -> RE: Name changing question (11/24/2012 21:07:13)

If you ask an AK or Moderator about changing your name, they will direct you to me.

If you want to change your name, you need to send me a PM with the name you want to use and a reason why you want your name changed. Your recent forum history (usually the last 3 months) will have to be clear of bans and severe warnings, otherwise I will ask you to wait. Also, our forum rules are that we will only do one name change per account, so when you send me a request you should be sure you are happy with the name you pick. I also appreciate it if you check first to make sure the name you want isn't already in use by another forum member.

As a general rule, if a name is taken you can't use it. If a person is banned, I won't give you the name of a banned account (even if it is a permanent ban). Likewise, even if a person hasn't logged on for awhile I won't take their name away from then for being inactive, especially if they have a decent sized post history. Normally the only time I consider re-assigning a name is if the account in question has never cleared email approval or has been gone for several years and never posted or only logged in once on the day their account was created. And even then it's not guaranteed... so the best bet is to pick a name that's not being used.

For example if i ask for the name "Reyna", Will i get the name even though its used?
Because the player has 0 posts and has been inactive since the beginning of Artix Entertainment

^ Just rehashing Seahawk's post, but even if it meets all of the requirements SH's mentioned above, it's not guaranteed; he may consider it, but don't hold your breath on it.
