Exploding Penguin -> Rebalancing Special Abilities (11/26/2012 0:47:28)

With the release of interdictor, many old promos are being underused (in my opinion) even though their abilities are pretty unique, just because massive strike is a pretty dominant ability so far compared to thorns/jack-o-fire. Even though Omega is coming to increase levels of old promos (such as harvest promos), I thought I'd suggest some ways to rebalance old special abilities: Jack-o-fire: In 2v2, this attack does 100% strike damage to both enemies when initiated. Otherwise does it's normal 113% damage. Frostbite: Also gives a 2% freeze chance on ANY melee attack, which is like stunning an opponent, just with a different animation/graphical appearance Lucky Strike: Melee attacks have a 4% chance of dealing "lucky hits," which deal an additional 7 damage on the opponent. Thorn Assault: Applies a 2-turn DOT that deals 3 damage per turn I find that the other promo abilities (Curse, Azrael's Mark, Massive Strike, etc...) are all pretty balanced.
