Exploding Penguin -> RE: Difference between Varium and Non-Varium players (12/3/2012 15:50:17)

@STRUT I don't agree... While varium is meant as an advantage, I don't think the gap should be so large that Varium players beat nonvars 95% of the time. 70-80% of the time is reasonable, but knowing that you stand practically no chance if you're facing a full varium when you're a credit player would really break the fun of the game for some people. Too many people are promoting the idea that people "need" varium in order to play epicduel and actually win some, and that's just a ridiculous idea... especially since when I google "epicduel" it says this: "EpicDuel is a free online MMORPG for your web-browser ..." Varium players still have quite a great gap, as well as more flexibility. It takes quite a large amount of hours to gain 50000 credits, rather than an instant 900 varium. Also, I don't know anyone who's spend over 200000 credits on enhancing a couple items, because it's an almost out-of-reach goal. Thinking of it already, varium players get access to gear with a couple more base stat point additions compared to credit-only gear, and another approx 8-9 more enhance slots. Stacking all of that up, a varium player can easily gain an advantage of 30-40 more stat points, which is a large amount. Also, they have access to special weapons with certain abilities like massive strike, thorn assault, etc... as well as robots. The varium system right now is actually pretty well set, except that a lot of high level gear is quite spendy in terms of varium, but not much can be done about that right now, especially with the ever-so-changing economy.
