Yes, there will still be promos, but these weapons will have no advantage over the non varium ones.
I myself don't want there to be a gap, however I feel that variums should get some added perks and benefits. One of these could be adjusting height. You could pay varium to be as tall as Slayer or as short as Mirv. This would have no PvP or in-game benefit but it would be cool to do.
Theres plenty of other things people could think up to keep people buying varium.
As of now I believe that most people will continue to buy varium to switch classes or to enhance weapons.
With the ability to farm NPC's for credits, I'm sure lots of people will have plenty of credits to use. You could just dedicate an hour of gaming time a day to killing a lvl 30 NPC.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this goes.
Heres a couple concerns however:
In the new omega phase you can customize your weapons stats.
To do this, you need either 250 varium or 5000 credits as shown in the graphic.
What Im concerned about is as follows:
1.) Does this mean we have to pay to customize our weapons each time we do it?
2.) Do some weapons cost more to customize? (Armor costs more than guns, etc)
What do you guys think about this?
