@scar
yeah they are trying to balance non vars to varium.

guess what though? non vars will have the same stats as us, the least we could do is get an ability that will give us about 5 extra damage 13% of the time....

@ scar

The thing I was worried about before ND mallet posted it for me to see was the ability to paste PROMO abilities. The staff has stressed in the past that if anyone could get their hands on rare items that have left the game then it wouldn't be rare anymore now would it? The special that comes with these promos is part of promo as well. Not to mention what I was also worried about was that if any promo special could be brought PERIOD what would have been the point of buying promos? The power gap will be gone, so the only thing that would have been left would be the art itself, and the promo special and while some buy the art most buy it for the promo and it wouldn't make sense to buy promos when you can get their specials for credits at any price.

But as I said ND mallet posted that quote so I am calm for now.

Besides even if it did cost 20,000 credits guess what? We now have unlimited NPC farming so if they wanted they could credit grind for it if they wanted. If isn't like before where it would hurt your record to do so.

The Incredible Hulk -> RE: Omega Onslaught!?!!?!? (12/8/2012 5:36:23)

The weapon that will be immune to upgrading and the skills are Beta weapons as
Rabble froth suggested that:

Rabble Froth: We'll have some more information coming soon on some of this stuff, but for now I just wanted to say that weapons such as Beta Gear will not become overpowered by upgrading them.

Keep up the discussion, I love seeing all the speculations! ;D

And in my opinion also the basic staff, club and claws.

@Midnite Santa: No Mother is not talking about the Non-variums(Maybe she is), But she is saying the the game will turn like AQW, Where you just dress up (To be honest dressing up is boring).

ED is a game where you battle, with Strategic gameplay in ALL game-modes. If 'this' all happens, It could lead a disaster to the 'elite players'. At the moment, I do not think that we don't have enough information to see if the game is good or bad. The way that the devs are saying that is the game will just turn like a dress-up game where you buy promos but not battling.

P.S

I still think ED is a great game.
I will Buy the phys version as we could re-distrubute our stats(That sounds like AQW to me, where you change your stats and upgrading it to X Level).
Anyways...... I will buy the promo, YEY!

IMO, if you're concerned about what specials your opponent has, then how about thinking it this way?
-->Your opponent doesn't know what specials you have too~

Mysterion. -> RE: Omega Onslaught!?!!?!? (12/8/2012 5:45:17)

@ ND Mallet guy

The specials of certain weps does make a difference in battle strategy.

When you only have 45 health, your opponent (support build) is about to use Auxilery on you.
What will you do?
If he has Infernal Interdictor i would always heal, no matter what. He has a high crit chance and when he does i lose.
If he doesnt have infernal i would attack since he then cant kill me without Massive strike.

Just as Trizz said, some specials can give you a win and can be prevented if you know he has them.
So yeah, smart players would have that in their mind and heal to have a garanteed win because they will not take such a risk.

How about this:
-Showing the ACTIVE special
-NOT showing the PASSIVE special
