Sympleton -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/9/2012 18:26:05)

Here is why I feel like some sort of compensation should be given to players with enhancements (and not just the varium enhancements!).

I do not and should not expect compensation for a weapon that goes out of date, because I can still use it if i wanted to. It wouldn't be my BEST choice, but if I want to, I can.
I can NOT however, continue to use enhancements after Omega renders them obsolete. I'm not demanding a refund, I just think that it makes logical sense to compensate players who have enhanced.

I don't even know why I'm posting this though... They already said that they will have the players who bought enhancements in mind while making the changes.

legion of souls -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/9/2012 22:31:44)

Honestly, i want a varium compensation.... But if they don't I won't complain. Larger companies wouldn't have even considered a compensation.

goldslayer1 -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/9/2012 22:38:35)

@legion
well legion, larger companies can afford to lose a chunk of their player base.

why do u think some companies get away with so much? like look at EA.

The Astral Fury -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/9/2012 22:46:35)

If they can't give us all of the varuim/credits we put in enchanments, maybe half or fully enchance the weaponds in are inventory with the new weapond system?

Jekyll -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/9/2012 23:06:22)

EA Games have massive holes in their coding. FIFA has been crashing in one way or another every year and reporting to EA doesn't work. This is why I'm thankful AE is a relatively smaller company

goldslayer1 -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/9/2012 23:18:25)

@jekyll
and online.

from what i heard, if ur playing fifa 2012 online, they cut the online servers for 12, and they put it on 2013, so u end up buying 2013 :/

T.600 -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/9/2012 23:32:06)

^No they don't.

They shut down the servers for the game which is two years old. For example, when Fifa 12 had finished, the Fifa 10 servers went down. In a few months, the Fifa 11 servers will go down.

EA is a bigger company, and for every crash/bug, they have maintenance within a day to fix the issue, if they can.

TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/10/2012 20:14:22)

as trans said before, AE does not have to give us anything in return because the moment you started playing its games and paid for something in it you agreed to its rules, be happy that the devs are working on a compensation or a small gift for those who have tried out the new system, also with enhancements you paid for the advantage and we don't really deserve anything since we already got what we paid for and thats a greater advantage in pvp and extreme build options(even i don't like stat abusers).
so yeah, have fun with the your current enhanced items in pvp before they make any changes with it in the coming omega phase.

ReinXI -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/11/2012 2:54:21)

all I can hope for is a varium compensation so I can get the omega gear :/ I just don't have the $$$ right now to buy a varium package ... either way I'm glad there's going to actually be some sort of compensation but yeah...

Hiya folks,

I'm seeing some really great discussion here, but I'd just like to remind everyone that the topic of "how the developers should give us free stuff" is not permitted in these forums, as they do not contribute anything of use to any discussion at hand. We'd all like to have some freebies—that's a given—but as the saying goes, "If wishes were horses then beggars would ride." In other words, constantly posting reiterations on how you wish for free varium and/or credits will not bring you any closer to actually getting those said funds.

For this reason, I have just deleted a short discussion about this issue. Anything that will be given to players in the near future is completely up to the sole discretion of the developers.

    Also, I'd like to point out that what Trans mentioned about AE's refund policy is correct. In no way are the developers obligated to give any refunds, so the very fact that they are working to make sure people do get some sort of compensation is a gift by itself.

    Taken from here. Staff has the final say and rules stand as they stand.

    Since you've also missed out bit about T&C:
    quote:

    Nothing in this Agreement places a duty on Company to ever reimburse any player by providing experience credit for any experience lost for any reason. Company will never reimburse or be obligated to reimburse players for any experience loss in a monetary manner, such as but not limited to monetary reimbursement or monetary credit.

    Refunds are only given in the first 30 days only if it's deemed necessary such as unauthorised payment, but it does not include your own gaming experience - whether you enjoy the game or not -, you are not eglible for any sort of refund.

    1. It's not scam nor trick.
    2. You got what you paid for.
    3. T&C are around for past 10 years now so it isn't new policy.
    4. Should've read it before you registered. Every company has 'em for protection for quite an obvious reasons. You said you're a businessman the other day, you should know why they have it then.

    Thanks for your time!

    TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/11/2012 6:06:46)

    @above ha ha i knew you would take your time to do it, well said trans :D

    Mysterion. -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/11/2012 6:09:25)

    As trans stated, they arent eligble to give anything.

    Removed comment to a deleted post, ~Tanky

    Ranloth -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/11/2012 6:14:20)

    Besides, who knows what the compensation may be. What if they have brief way of translating current enhancement system onto the new one? So perhaps if you own Lvl 35 weapon with 10 slots and fully enhanced, you'll have upgraded Lvl 35 weapon with maximum enhancements on the new system (applies to only weapons in your inventory, not ones you've sold).

    Jekyll -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/11/2012 6:30:26)

    Well, I was looking at the Space Warrior armour. For a level 27 armour, it has 16 stats. The Cardboard Crusader is a level 35 armour with 20 stats.

    So, if we up the Space Warrior 8 levels, won't it be rather OPed? Thoughts please...

    Ranloth -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/11/2012 6:32:29)

    They will be brought to the same power level, so at Lvl 35, both will be equal in power. They are re-balancing everything probably since it'd make sense; close the gap rather than make x better than y just because. Remember the weapons overhaul? Armors weren't affected by it. My bets are that they are doing it now with Armors.

    Jekyll -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/11/2012 6:35:36)

    Ah, so you mean that in the end, both the Crusader and Space Warrior will have the same number of stats?

    TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/11/2012 6:39:59)

    @above most likely

    Jekyll -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/11/2012 6:41:19)

    That's cool. I almost 'invested' 1395 varium in a Space Warrior armour.

    Ranloth -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/11/2012 6:43:42)

    Well it'd make the most sense, I doubt they'd want stats all over the place like weapons were. And Rabble did mention back then that it's only Weapons for now so Armors could be done now. We shall see but it's the most logical choice to do so.

    TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/11/2012 6:58:55)

    @trans: yeah we really need players to be more logical, and the devs always does the most logical things.

    drekon -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/11/2012 9:44:57)

    I got excited when I first read the DNs, but it wouldn't make sense for them to "refund" our varium/credits for enhancements. I'd have half a million Credits and possibly 15-20k Varium. The staff can be generous at times, but not that generous. Hehe! It's more likely that it's some kind of enhancement reward or something to that effect. I don't see how an achievement can be considered compensation for enhancements. It's like your cable company compensating you with a rock. What am I supposed to do with that? :)

    Drianx -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/11/2012 10:02:41)

    @above
    Only because you don't need a compensation doesn't mean no one needs it or is happy about it.
    'I want no one to get a refund because I don't need it' is greedy and illogical.

    TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/11/2012 10:07:47)

    @above just to add to that, they didn't exactly state that the enhancement system is going to be fully removed but rather changed. and yay more logical players :D

    drekon -> RE: Compensation [OMEGA] (12/11/2012 11:23:28)

    @Drianx,

    When did I ever say...?
    quote:

    'I want no one to get a refund because I don't need it'

    I'm simply saying it wouldn't make sense for them to give refunds. Not only is it against their own policy as Trans pointed out, but players like me would get way too much. Not because I don't need it, believe me I could use that much right now, but it wouldn't be right. I'm certain there are players who invested more varium into enhancements than me, so they would get even more! Sorry, but although it's fun to dream about it, it doesn't make sense in reality. I'd be VERY surprised if we do get a refund, and somewhat disappointed in the staff. That doesn't mean I wouldn't happily spend it. Hehe!
