so i was bored today, and was having really bad luck. *cough*
so i decided to record some matches.

the following data is composed of only lvl 35 players as a sample.

what i recorded was, how many times i went first and second vs lower support enemies, and how many times i went first and second vs higher support enemies.

here are my findings.

enemies with
Less support: 6 times first, 32 times second
More Support: 6 times first, 10 times second

total: 12 times first, 42 times second, vs my last 56 lvl 35 enemies.
this is just an example of my rotten "luck" that i been having.

so i went first, 23% of the time vs the last 56 lvl 35s i faced.
went first 15.7% of the time vs lvl 35s with lower support.

now, im hoping this is just me, but it looks like the RNG is messed up.

NOTE: its been about this much for the whole day, but i only started recording it 2 and a half hours ago.

It wouldn't be RNG if it wasn't messed-up,that's the point of using the RNG..It's quite fun actually,sometimes you win and sometimes you lose..I don't want this game to turn into a pure math and calculation-based game,luck is highly required.

About the first turn,I agree that the player with higher support should be playing first.

But the level difference factor plays a role in the first-turn..So in like 70-80% of duels with lower level players,they will go first.

You may re-do your calculations with players in your level,you'll find yourself playing most often first turn if you have higher support.

according to how first turn works, i should be going first 50%+ of the times vs enemies with lower support.

thats simply not the case as i went 6-32


also, please read, these samples were taken only from lvl 35 enemies.
if i counted in lower lvls, the amount of times i went second would be much higher.

I believe Rabble is changing formulae as well, he posted small part of it last week so it may be making game less luck-based and more depending on your stats rather than mostly RNG.

I didn't notice the level of your opponents,sorry.

However,perhaps it's because I didn't have that problem myself..I have a support tech mage myself and I play first turn more than 2/3 of my battles,but that percentage gets lower vs lower level opponents.

yes thats bacause first turn is designed to give lower lvl a higher chance at going first, while being 100% first turn for anyone 5 lvls below u.

So who knows what that may be. But it seems like it won't be all simple anymore to calculate but actual formula that creates balance. No other info was shared so don't know what will be changed exactly.

Pretty much. Rabble hasn't told us what the formula is for (yet) but it seems like it'll be less luck-based and depend on all of your stats. ^^

Took you guys long enough to realize things are broken in the program it was broken since the introduction of Shadow Arts, welcome to A.I. programing, the programming you can't control.

@hun kingq maybe because that you don't have the proper mind to invest more dexterity, remember shadow arts don't work everytime.

Most Support should definitely use the first turn!

And blocked twice...
That was a painful battle for me xD

Ontopic: The formula should factor in how often you go first vs your enemy
If they went first 7 times, and you went first 3 times, your chance should increase
My opinion though

TRizZzCENTRINO, I was giving the time frame when things began braking down, before shadow arts I was blocking but they never gave full disclosure of all the things they did.

Then things got further screwed up when they adjusted support giving lower levels a bigger chance of going first because they where complaining. When I was level 25 tech mage I won many battles against level 30 players in 1vs1 and that was going 2nd.

goldslayer1, Thank you. maybe with the new formulas in Omega and hopefully new skills and the changes to the skills things will get better.

ON TOPIC :

How about this :

If a player has his DEX / TECH reduced to an amount that makes their % negative , and they Blocked / Deflected , they won't be able to do that ( SA however is not affected by the effect ) .

@gold, pictures or it didn't happen, the possibility of you facing that much lvl 35 in less than 2 and half hours seems irrational. Also luck is a probability that can be increase ( in this case with support) or decrease (low support), but there can be a 99 percent probability of something occurring, and a 1 percent chance of it not occurring, but even though the ratio is so uneven, there is a chance to roll a 1 percent every single time to time indefinite (this is the bad luck part, rolling the unfavorable/ most unreasonable hand). So even though i agree with you, I think that luck should not be one of those things you can count on to work 100 percent of the time, because it can work only 1 percent of the time, or 50, or 99, but never 100 percent of the time, if it did it will not be luck any more, but rather a given. I stand with what i say :D (pictures or is not real).

give ED a hard time, and it shots you with an arrow to the knee, and makes you bow to it; how do you think the mellowed Angle down lol.

Shutting up now, before I lose to a mechachild again because 4 crits 2 blocks and 3 deflection :O.
