Sgt.Rock -> Experience option (12/12/2012 14:31:53)

I would like the option to opt-out of gaining experience points against other players, but not the credits and everything else you recieve from winning/losing battles. The reason for this is if you're on level 15, or so, and you really want that gun you've been eyeing but not enough credits to pay for it yet, usually by the time you do have enough credits for that gun, your long passed the level you wanted it, and the next gun you need is still too expensive to get.

It would also be enjoyable to stay on level 20, get all the best gear you can get for that level, even save enough for doing juggernaut fights against level 12's or so. This way, I could have, and keep, a character at level 10 and 15 and 20, etc. and enjoy all the benefits of the items of those levels for as long as I would like.

Some NPCs in Omega will only award credits when defeated. That will be the only reward you will get from them though.

what's the point of that? I dont want to stay at level 20 and battle nothing but npc's.

Its to demotivate players to only battle NPCs.
Most players do that to get a good battle record.

That way, the record shows your true battle skills against other players and not robots.
So no, like ND mallet guy said they will be only usefull to farm credits.
And it should have been like that a long time ago in my opinion.

Well not all levels have the same length of fights so it's to prevent people from staying at something like lvl 10 and winning all the fights in a few turns so they can donate a larger sum of tokens to their faction much faster than a level cap player. Like you said in your first post, the main point you made is not having enough credits at a certain level for the things you want.

ok, so when you opt out (maybe checkmark in options) of gaining exp. points, it automatically opts you out of gaining battle tokens.

Supported!

This I really like. I would love to level up slower, and in some cases stay at a certain level for a while, and still be able to battle other players. Some MMO games have this option, and this game should be one of them.
