Winters Key -> Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/15/2012 13:05:07)

I seriously think they nerfed varium WAY TOO much. Varium will now just be a shortcut to get stuff, rather than getting your own special gear :(. Wouldn't this cause a HUGE loss of money for ED? Nobody would buy the varium packages. Promos will be useless, as all weapons can be improved to level 35, and you can buy their "skill cores" for credits (Meaning an non varium player could suddenly do massive strike, or could have lucky strike). Now, I think they just nerfed varium too much. :(

Mother1 -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/15/2012 13:11:42)

Varium will still be good for exclusive promos, and will have slightly better stats and specials. Plus we still get access to other features that non variums won't. Plus some promo specials won't be for sell. It wasn't fair that non variums were the punching bags of varium players for so long and many varium player became that so they wouldn't be punching bags. Also now Varium will last longer as well.

Vypie -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/15/2012 13:23:50)

I don't think they will have more stats. But they will sure have UNIQUE specials. Not directly stronger specials, but I imagine original, tactical effects, allowing a good combo with one's build.

goldslayer1 -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/15/2012 19:03:09)

well, IMO making weps into ur own lvl should be a varium feature. but thats just me.

Crimson Eagle -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/15/2012 19:20:11)

@GoldSlayer1,

That would make the Varium - Non Varium gap EVEN BIGGER!
And like what @Mother1 said, Non Varium players have been the "Punching Bags" for far too long.

Amao9 -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/16/2012 7:29:23)

Well its good new for me then.

classifiedname -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/18/2012 17:33:16)

i disagree... there are many lazy people in this world including me who'd rather buy varium then play ten hours to get the things i want. besides i'm sure they will sometime release some stuff that is exclusive to varium purchasing players. i actually support what they are doing completely becuase this will probably increase varium purchases now that this will make diversity of its overall use (meaning more people buying little amounts)..... i know your mad because non variums have and can use your varium only weapons. but in the long run,you'll see and be glade they did this!

Waxor9001 -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/18/2012 17:40:09)

Variums still give many advantages, so it ok.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/18/2012 20:05:15)

I agree with mother. It was definitely unfair that 95%+ of all credit players had no chance of winning without strong luck against a full varium player. With this, the gap will be shrunk down. However, I'd still like a slightly larger (just like another 2-3 stat points) gap between credit and varium players. I dislike the promos not being sold in-game for varium players, because I have to buy a 10k package whenever I want a new promo. However, I also like the fact that I'll be spending way less varium due to no more enhancements.

Super Fat Man -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/18/2012 23:01:56)

Off topic: No more enhancements? Yush.
On topic: Ya I agree with the person who said that some varium players are too lazy to play ten hours to get what they want. Varium is sort of a way to get lazy and just stay current with the updates. I don't think that varium is nerfed too much. Think about it only non variums that work hard enough will be as good as you. They will have to spend 10 hours while you or whoever one quick payment.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/18/2012 23:25:00)

@Super Fat Man: I agree. It's like class changing; Earning 50k credits can take up quite a few hours of farming, which can be particularly boring to come people to stick to the same build for 1k+ fights. Varium is a neat shortcut to that which is often used instead of credits and still provides a good convenience so that varium players don't feel ripped off.

Metallico -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/19/2012 13:46:35)

I d like to get one of that omega weapons, you are so lucky ;´)

Scyze -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/19/2012 13:55:17)

Well, the Promotional Weapons are not being sold in-game. What a surprise. My thoughts on this was that, the Staff wanted to make money so they made it only available after buying the 10,000 Varium package.

I would say that I love this new feature if the Promotional Weapons were in-game for Varium only; and if you could only buy one version of the two.

After my birthday on January, on February, I'll buy the new Promotional Weapons and see how good Varium and the Weapons are.

To be honest, I still think this was a great idea to make it impossible to buy the Weapons in-game. From now on, I'll be inspecting everything closely.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/19/2012 20:12:30)

@Malicious Neos: Yea, for a moment I was quite satisfied with the fact that we wouldn't have to get nearly as much varium now that enhancements were removed, but the announcement that promos won't be sold in-game totally ruined that. Hooks are always attached... I would be far more satisfied if you could get the promos with smaller varium packs.

goldslayer1 -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/19/2012 20:20:28)

how would it make the gap bigger if they still have the same power as us? but anyway, thats just an idea. variums need some features to remain so. its gotta be something

ND Mallet -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/19/2012 20:24:15)

@gold Because after Omega weapons won't have levels until you put them on. The only weapons that will already have weapons will be the ones you have. So sticking non variums with a lvl 1 weapon because upgrading is restricted to varium is a huge gap opener.

goldslayer1 -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/19/2012 20:48:34)

@ND
i meant in terms of power not features.

if a non var purchased a lvl 35 credit weapon, its the same in power as a var weapon.

ND Mallet -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/19/2012 21:00:32)

@gold You missed my point. There aren't going to be any lvl 35 weapons after Omega, there won't be any 34s, 33s, 32s, etc,. The only way you'll get one is buying the weapon and leveling it up with credits/varium.
quote:

The current damage system goes away completely. The max damage a weapon can have is now tied to YOUR level, since gear will no longer have a specific "level" to it any more. Hard to wrap your mind around at first, but this just means that every Auxiliary will have the same maximum damage for a level X player. Doesn't matter what level it is right now on live.

TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/19/2012 21:10:20)

@malicious neos @exploding penguin with this new change in omega everyone will benefit from it but in every positive there has to be some negative, and it makes sense for a promo to be sold only when you get a 10k package.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/19/2012 21:44:05)

@ND Mallet: But stat points will be based off of the weapon's initial stat points so promos like eggzookas and mecha guns will still be better than other level 35 guns in a sense?

@TrizZz: I agree there has to be a downside to everything, but having 10k var just from getting a promo seems kinda..over the bounds. I doubt I'm gonna spend 10k varium as fast as I do now with no enhancements.

WAIT A MOMENT!
If I want to remod stat points (like reenhancing right now, but with the new system) do I need to pay to move stat points multiple times, or do I just pay once like it is now with enhancements? I'd be pretty sad if I had to do repeated payment.

ND Mallet -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/19/2012 21:47:15)

@exploding I actually asked Rabble about that and ALL items of a category will have the same amount of stat points to them regardless of rarity. That means a lvl 35 Founder armor will have as much stats as a lvl 35 Predator Hunter armor despite the difference in rarity.

cool preston -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/20/2012 19:20:03)

Nd mallet does that apply to bunnzookas as well... I love them but if their gone be just like everything else ... So every gun and aux will have same dmg if your level 35 and also same stats??????

Combatoid -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/21/2012 12:20:35)

I personally don't like that they will make it so that gear that used to be varium will now be sold for entirely credits or entirely varium. I kind of liked the split purchasing function. Also, will there be any sellback? Currently in Delta a sellback of varium for 15% and credit for 50% isn't exactly favorable. If they nerf the purchasing system I don't think it's fair that these sellbacks stay how they are currently.

Also, I think it'd be more fair if the price for enhancing and purchasing blinged-out gear that used to be varium if the prices were extensively increased. I think that for enhancements it'd make sense if we highly increased the price for credits and lowered the price for varium. Btw, keep in mind that players such as Comicalbiker have around 3-5,000,000 credits (excluding purchases). I like what ED was doing with releasing very good nonvarium gear, however what they are doing now displeases me a lot.

This is just my shallow opinion.

The Astral Fury -> RE: Varium Nerfing? No thank you :( (12/21/2012 15:31:28)

Lol they're punching bags because they don't pay, were not because we pay REAL money to become powerful. People spend 1000-s of dollars on this game to be good, win alot and not lose to varuims, and is it fair that all this money has gone to waste because 0$ players can be as powerful as the 1000's$ players. We pay money to be powerful they don't that's why there is a gap, get it?

Dev's: Hey you know those players who have supported us, kept this game runnig, and spent 1000's of dollars
Dev's: Ya?
Dev's: You wanna make the 0$ players be just as good now even though they haven't spent a dime, and the other players have.
Dev's: Sure great idea, your reward people who spent 1000's of dollars and supported this game you get to lose more and the 0$ players get to be stronger and also get all the features you've spent.

Lol.
