I think Epicduel should have a Referrals System because all of us and all of developers win with this system.
For example:
-For each Referral you got 10 Varium
-And you got 20% of Credits,Exp and Battle Tokens that your Referral got in a day.
-And you can got unlimited referrals

This ideas and valor can change if you got a better valors ideas or if you dont want varium gains.

This system helps EpicDuel getting more players and help players getting Credits,Exp and Battleon Tokens and
like any other game...Varium.

Its a good idea,

But it would have to be adjusted to be less likely to be abused.

For example say you refer yourself, then whenever you play that alternate you also get 20% of the winnings to your main?

Plus simply placing an same IP refer block to solve this wont work against most smart people.

The referrals system that I said dont work by the name...
It works by a masked referral link that when clicked the page redirects to the Play Epicduel page or Battleon account register page.
Each Player got a referral link.
For example:
My referral link is: http://epicduel.artix.com/index.php?r=(Character Name)

Ways to get Referrals:

Social Networks: Let others know about EpicDuel.

Blogs/Websites: Start a blog or website about EpicDuel.

Youtube: Make videos about your experience and get referrals.

Overall idea can work, AQ has it and it works fine although not so many players are caught by the gameplay. Of course there'd be limit to Varium (not refer and get Varium but perhaps get to Lvl 10-15), a bit lower % of the rewards per day (up to 10% would be best, maybe even 5% is more than enough). There's nothing against the idea, just lower values and some limitations and you're good to go.

And IP block so you cannot refer yourself.

G4m3r -> RE: Referrals (12/21/2012 9:54:33)

Yeah, a great idea is if your referral reach lvl 10 you get 10 varium
Wow,I got another brilliant idea!Your varium reward depends in referral level.
For example:
Referral lvl 20=you receive 20 varium.
In this way its balanced and the maximum a player can get by 1 referral is 35(if the referral reaches lvl 35).

^ An IP block may block some 12 year olds...

Surely its not hard to refer yourself at a different location then your house...

Or even use a proxy...

Ranloth -> RE: Referrals (12/21/2012 9:59:58)

Yes but it's better than spamming your own account and abusing the system, with proxy it may be harder. IP block would be done anyway, logical to do so.

G4m3r -> RE: Referrals (12/21/2012 10:17:01)

The problem is registing in EpicDuel, because the ref needs to regist in Battleon account and to redeem your bonus (for example Dragon Reckoning) you need Battleon points not Varium.
Then, thinking differently its better a referral system for battleon master account.
An example is the ticket that grants acess to GOLDEN YETI contest.

10 varium doesnt really go that for now a days.
100 varium would be better in my opinion.

G4m3r -> RE: Referrals (12/21/2012 14:04:57)

Thats a little bit unbalanced,for example:
Imagine I make a lens about Epicduel on Squidoo and something like 100 guys read that lens and 50 of them sign up at epicduel by my referral link.
100x50=5000 Varium
I got 20% of they gains(for example credits)
These all 50 players got 50,000 credits in the total in a day(dont forgot they are newbies around lvl 5-10).
20% of 50,000 credits are 10,000 credits in a day for me.
Well it sounds good,but for famous players with blogs,websites,videos,twitter,facebook,etc it can be devasting.

Due to the thread "More players to EpicDuel", we need to discuss this thread again.
