The even is happening after Christmas, and I almost blew my top until I realized Edgar IS selling the Christmas/holiday rares right now, but there hasn't been any major events other than that.

If it was released with Omega on the 1st date given to us, we'd have at least one or two releases after it before it got to Christmas so it's wrong. Other games have Frostvale which is Christmas event and runs throughout December only.
