Auras as skill cores would be a nice option to have available. Reserving some of your energy in exchange for a passive buff that can be turned on and off. Something like: Reserve 30% of your mana Regenerate X Mana per turn This would allow for more usage of lower level skills but limit the use of high level ones. Things like this could be pretty interesting.
