I suggest to make a Grenade´s Shop in a special NPC like "Grenadier Master".
And sell some grenades in that shop like:
Stats nerfing:
-Weaken Grenade(reduce strenght)
-Smoking Grenade(reduce dexterity)
-Malf Grenade(reduce technology)
-Supporting Grenade(reduce support).

This are just some ideas

they tryed implanting grenades befor but instead implented bots
