The devs should make a room called the f4f exchange. In that room is a board where you can sign up for the fame exchange.

To join you'd do this: Go into the room and look at the board. Now lets just say that there is 100 people on it. It shows their names, and a button. You click the button and it increases their fame. You dont need to go to their charpage or anything. Once you click their arrow, their name gets sratched off. You do this for everyone.


Then the next day, everyone who famed all of those people will be on the board. People will them go down the line to fame you. Everyone who doesnt go through everyone does not get on the board.


This is my idea. Thoughts?

Seems too...linear for me. IMO the faming system was totally trashed by the players. Fame was originally intended to be a merit system for well-noticed or recognized people. Somehow, people were corrupted by the fact that you can get achievements for having certain amounts of fame, and then it became a trade system instead.

It would be fast and easy. You would just take away the daily fame board.

Can we just add Missions ? Boss NPCs ( when beaten ) that give Fame? It's still kinda the same because they could still bug you and annoy you in-battle.

But anyway , this idea is interesting.

Actually the original intention for fame was to get players to get their friends on social media sites such as Facebook to fame them and thus bring attention to the game. This purpose probably would've been better done as a referral system of some sorts though.

Mechquest has a referral system where each account has a unique referral id to send to friends... suppose ED could do something similar...

True , very true indeed .

Anyway , about Fame ...

I find it quite fine , it's just that it's only limited to F4F by either going in-game battles or out of battles or social media .

You could still get people outside of the game to fame you from your charpage. This just makes it so if you want fame you can go here instead of Oz. Because anybody willing to fame you there, has already famed you in the fame station or whatever its called.
