I personally believe that due to the nature of flat numbers for def/res, having these flat bonuses on armors causes issues. A good example is that +10 res is worht a lot more at high res than at low res due to diminishing returns. I personally believe that armor should give you an energy shield that acts as an extension to your HP pool, but Shield would be unaffected by any passives that use a change in HP (Bloodlust, reroute)
