DeathGuard -> Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 20:12:01)

Most will be confused with his title but I think most players will like this idea.
This idea consists of raffling an Omega Pre-Order for a certain group of players: Nonvariums
Why only take them in for the raffle? Most varium players are capable of getting varium through AExtras, UGC, or through their family/own money.
So why don't give a chance to a nonvarium player to receive this kind gift from the Devs? Raffling out 1 promo won't hurt the Devs at all, but it will show that they care for nonvarium players giving them each an equal chance to participate in this raffle.

Give me your opinion in this and please be kind when talking about nonvariums since we are all human beings.

How about 10 total?
That way the F2P's can show a tiny presence in the golden yeti competition.

Now 10 f2p's wouldn't even register in the grand scheme of things because the number of F2P's in the game active or otherwise

DeathGuard -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 20:38:19)

I think the number of players receiving it will be decided by the Devs themselves if they happen to read this thread.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 20:39:50)

I know I just wanted a number larger than 1 to sit in the dev's brain

Mother1 -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 20:57:34)

Not supported. The staff has shown enough love for the non varium players by putting them on an equal playing field with the paying players. They are are showing even more love by giving them access to most of what used to be varium exclusive items. That is more then enough love for the non variums. Giving them the chance to go after the one last thing that has been always varium exclusive would be spitting in the faces of those who earned points for the promo or paided for it out of pocket.

Besides if they want the promo so bad they can just do the offers and when they have enough points can get it as well. Every non varium has this choice to do so.

Ranloth -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 21:04:43)

This is a competition and only 100 players will receive the Yeti. Yeti itself is a Varium item - despite the fact it'll have Credit counterpart - and is part of the promo & Golden Yeti is supposed to be unique. We get it in pre-order as a bonus so giving it away for free is a rip off for those who've paid already. >.>

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 21:06:31)

@Mother1 offers are not universal once you leave the US and the UK(most likely Austrialia but I would need to ask some friends) offers get more and more sketchy not to mention there are even less of them

Mother1 -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 21:10:12)

@ OWA

The point I am trying to make is that the OP said that people can get points for varium from doing offers which every non varium player has at his or her finger tips. Also as Trans and myself said giving it away for free to a non varium would be ripping off those of us who paid for it as well as taking away the one last thing Paying players can get for battle since mostly everything else in game that isn't rare will be at the non varium players figure tips.

DeathGuard -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 21:20:26)

@Mother1: Do you think one nonvarium will make a difference? IT is not ripping off the ones who paid it, have Christmas spirit with one single nonvarium that would like to have this promo but can't afford it due to several issues. Let me give you an example: You go buy some drinks to a store, but that store decides to give someone who needs or wants a soda just for this Christmas Eve, that soda he/she wants with all of his heart. Would you feel ripped off? What if that person really needs that drink? What if he hasn't drink in days some soda? Let us be in the shoes of our fellow players, I'm sure that nonvarium will be grateful with the Devs for gifting out that promo.

I'm sure that if we weren't varium players, and received a gift like that, we would felt love and appreciated. Not asking you to accept this idea or my opinion, just asking you not to take it that seriously.

Ranloth -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 21:25:24)

Christmas spirit doesn't compensate for my money spent on the ticket. :V Either way, Yeti IS supposed to be exclusive and since it's in pre-order package, it's exclusive enough. Then it'll be 100 people selected for it afterwards which further lowers the amount of players who will get it thus making it unique.
Using real-life example and this doesn't work. Being nice is one thing but giving something out that was promised to be in the pre-order package and then giving it away for free is another thing.

Btw, ideas are to be taken seriously. After all, our feedback contributes towards Devs thinking about implementing the suggestion. >.>

DeathGuard -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 21:27:02)

When I meant to not take this seriously, I meant in the aspect of ripping off players in purpose...

drinde -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 21:29:07)

Well, I think giving them, us, the whole Omega Pre-Order is too extravagant. I'd say if this event does take place, and the Golden Ticket cannot be acquired through other means, giving a few players a chance to get the Golden Yeti by just giving them the ticket would be more than enough.

DeathGuard -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 21:32:52)

Well, since most doesn't want that they receive the pre-order promo, that they only receive the 10k varium and 15k credits then. Still if they don't receive the promo, they will grateful..

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 21:36:00)

@Deathguard giving the promo doesn't really have a point except for the possible weapon ability because once Omega comes around pretty much all the weapons will be equal

Blitzex/Sr. Zeph -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 21:36:25)

I agree with Mother1 and Trans.
Giving non vars something were vars have to pay 50$ for is just unfair.
Even if its a christmas gift, why should that one single non var get that ticket and all the other non vars not.
I mean is that fair to you? How will they decide who gets it? Why will he get it and not her? Why doesnt a var player that didnt had enougj money to buy the package doesnt get it, and total non vars does?

Your logic is flawless here, even if its a christmas gift it will be unfair to the Payers and the other F2P who doesnt get it.

DeathGuard -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 21:45:04)

Even if the nonvarium gets the ticket, I doubt he will be able to be in the 100 players who will get it, remember they are hundreds of varium players who will go for it and he will be shadowed by them.
I will buy the promo but won't feel "ripped off" because it is like Devs giving out a present, what if they decide to give out the Golden Ticket for free to all players? You are just being to serious.
Anyways Zeph, it will be a raffle, just the requirement to be nonvarium. Varium players have been able to stand with only two varium items(I'm in that case), I will accept I have been equipped with varium items.
A raffle isn't fair at all, sometimes the tickets cost $10, and only one person gets it but no one complains because at last, the winner is selected at random and not by self opinion decision.

Ranloth -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 21:52:31)

If you doubt they will get it to Top 100, what's the point of giving them a ticket? Real-life logic isn't exactly the same here. Players paid for the pre-order and were promised the ticket for the contest, not a note that they have chance to get it for free. Why shouldn't Varium player get one for free? Why just F2P? Golden Yeti will be unique and rare - in terms of being able to get it as well as unavailable - and it'd be unfair to give tickets to those who pre-ordered for a price and then give out some for free. Wait for next contest instead, this is just a test and will be expanded if it's good (in the future).

If raffle isn't fair, then it shouldn't be done. At least not in this case. That's why RL examples aren't good here since they are similar but not the same. And nope, we aren't being too serious. We have to be serious since it's our money that went to get the ticket and now you suggest giving few away for free. We're dealing with money.

Mother1 -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 21:52:51)

@ death

Just because you won't feel ripped off doesn't mean everyone else will feel the same way. I would be ticked off if the last thing me and every other varium player had access to that can be used in battle was given away for free to a non varium when the staff all but took away the power Varium players had before the new phase of epic duel.

It won't compensate for the money trans spend on the promo, and it won't compensate me for the time I spent farming for points to get the promo either.

Jekyll -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/24/2012 22:31:15)

As the saying goes, there is no free lunch in this world. Using Christmas as an excuse for getting free varium items is simply a terrible excuse. Bottom line is, no.

TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: Delivering Christmas to a fellow player! (12/25/2012 7:29:50)

as the above players said, using christmas as a excuse to get the best and exclusive varium promo so far is a bad idea, it would make other F2P players jealous because it wouldn't be fair if only one player gets it, especially if it ends in the wrong hands of a swear abuse and negative non varium player.
and sometimes you have to think about how others who have paid and used their time to earn this package, rather than only thinking how you would feel.
how can you identify who is a varium or non varium player? those non variums who have participated in the ebilcorp war has recieved 200 or more varium, therefore it makes them a varium player. your logic is flawed like others have said, this also need to be taken seriously because the devs decide whether if its logical to implement based on the suggestion itself and the player response.
i don't have to get the package and some of you know why, but i think not only for myself but for the game and its community, i can foresee that this would cause alot of chaos.
