RageSoul -> Changes of Skills + more (12/26/2012 5:09:44)

Since Omega's just around the corner , i'm here to make certain changes of some skills , just to lessen the urge to copy a build and of course , luck . If you have been an avid fan or someone that got latest news for sometime , it was announced that weapons and other battle gear will no longer have Stat and Level requirements ( but the Gender requirement is still there ) and we'll be able to customize the stat for a small fee . Now what i'm assuming is that everyone will set their base stats to 40 - 45 , which is , you guessed it , Focus alignment! So i asked myself ( when i saw this ) , "What's the point of this new system to weapons if everyone will just have the same base stat alignment?" . What am i suggesting , you ask ? Why simply changes to current skills that would benefit non-Focus users of course!

Here's what i have thought of ( so far ) :

Shadow Arts :

OLD : Increases % of Stun Grenade's Stun Chance & Block chance . In short , makes wonky luck!
NEW : Now it'll be increasing your DEX with a fixed amount based on your current based DEX .

Skill Progression :

Level 1 - 10%
Level 2 - 12%
Level 3 - 13%
Level 4 - 14%
Level 5 - 15%
Level 6 - 16%
Level 7 - 17%
Level 8 - 18%
Level 9 - 19%
Level 10 - 20%

Benefits both Hunter classes . Support requirement's still the same . Now you wondered why , but here it is : Focus ( especially 5 Focus ) can fully benefit on nearly or directly maxing SA because of them able to get through it's requirements , and add that upcoming system , this will encourage Focus builds too much . Not that i'm saying because of the annoying luck , but because of the impact that the weapons customization system will bring .

Adrenaline :
OLD - Increases Rage rate by % .
NEW - Increases Rage damage by adding % DEF/RES ignore .

Level 1 - 5%
Level 2 - 7%
Level 3 - 9%
Level 4 - 11%
Level 5 - 13%
Level 6 - 15%
Level 7 - 17%
Level 8 - 18%
Level 9 - 19%
Level 10 - 20%

Higher SUPP requirement ( probably like 48 ; 30 at level 1 ) and same Tier alignment . Why +DEF/RES ignore per Rage ? Well , the thing here is that only a few builds work on Mercenaries , but most likely not be equal to others but still the rest are history ( example is Support ) .

Hybrid Armor :
OLDER - fixed amount that can be switched from DEF to RES and vise versa.
OLD - fixed amounts that give both DEF and RES but at very low numbers .
NEW - fixed amounts that depends on your base DEX and TECH . Bonus DEF and RES does not change if debuffed / buffed .

Level 1 - 6%
Level 2 - 7%
Level 3 - 8%
Level 4 - 9%
Level 5 - 10%
Level 6 - 11%
Level 7 - 12%
Level 8 - 13%
Level 9 - 14%
Level 10 - 15%

So example , i have both DEX and TECH at 45 , and i set my HA at Maxed ( which is very common indeed ) , so i would have a +7 on both sides . However , if i set my DEX to a higher value , let's say 60 , then my HA would give me a +9 instead of +7 but my RES is still the same . Same rule applies on TECH's RES bonus .

Now for the other changes that would come ...

1 Stat Point = 1 HP / EP <-- the idea that the Balance Team ( ? ) suggested
--> very bad idea , since Stat Diminishing ruins certain builds , why implement this? I'm fine with EP reduced but HP ? Nonononono , definitely a no-no ! STR and Focus can hit me less times because Stat Diminishing lessens stat effectivity + low HP = overkill . 'If this is gonna happen , then at least remove Stat Diminishing or even better : remove Stat Diminishing and make 1 Stat point = 1 EP instead of HP involved . That way , Casters and the current STR BH/CH can still be strong but no longer super effective since they have to sacrifice HP for EP '.

P.S : The words / idea inside the ' ' is not mine .

Other Ideas :
+ Raise the Max Block % back to 40% and put the old 1% / 2 DEX formula back also. ( 1 - 2 - 2013 )

KEzAx -> RE: Changes of Skills + more (12/26/2012 5:29:02)

I Agree
quote:

1 Stat Point = 1 HP / EP

2hp her stat point is needed but not for the energy
with only 1 hp per stat point it would be too quick and
ruins certain builds

RageSoul -> RE: Changes of Skills + more (12/26/2012 7:31:36)

^Sorry about the confusion , but that wasn't a suggestion ( quoted part ) , that was one part of the "balance overhaul" that they ( Devs and Balance Team <--- ???? ) planned and release .

arthropleura -> RE: Changes of Skills + more (12/26/2012 8:49:34)

Like the dex part but my builds a bh dex multi/grenade build so my view must be biased...
I think the adrenaline tweak should be good too
All in all support

Ulukini12 -> RE: Changes of Skills + more (12/29/2012 23:21:07)

What if hybrid armor took a certain % of damage from each opponents hits?

ED Prince of Shadows -> RE: Changes of Skills + more (12/29/2012 23:59:17)

^Would be op, hybrid is ment for defense and defense alone.

Remorse -> RE: Changes of Skills + more (12/30/2012 0:59:27)

Not bad ideas there lord.

I hope the devs are influenced by this when they attempt to change some of these broken skills.

Nice work :)
