I saw very suggestions but I think my idea is the most interesting.
My suggestion is when your partner leaves, the system will create a clone of yourself.

@above this has been suggested by other players before, and it would be hard to implement since it is AI and can rather ruin the battle if it uses the wrong moves.

They can always make the clone auto-use whatever would deal the most dmg, programming it wouldn't be too hard, it would just have to follo the most useful pattern of moves available.

Not supported. 2v2 is supposed to be (like the name suggests) 2v2. Bad partners and leaving players add a sense of uncertainty to the game mode and I feel like it can be good to break the monotony of 1v1.

No. What would happen if your partner has low life and leaves? Does the clone get full health or close to what your partner had? It's just too complicated to implement without breaking the game.
