Hi guys

I know the title sounds bad, but I couldn't think of a better one.

I don't know if other forum members have run into this problem before. You find a thread/ post that breaks the rules and you can't say so yourself since you don't want to mini-mod. The problem is that you can't find a mod/an AK whose online at that time. Since you can't find one, you send a pm to one who is offline and it will be read hours later by that mod/AK, just to see that the thread/post has already been changed by another mod/AK.

My suggestion is to make a list or something like that, to check which mod/AK is currently (or could be) online. It doesn't have to be exact times, but since most of us are online at fixed times, it might be helpful to know which mod usually is online at a certain time.

example: AK 1 is mostly online Mondays to Wednesdays, from 5pm EST to 10pm EST.

That way, people who want to contact a mod/AK, can do so quickly.
Don't know if it is possible, but I think it is a good idea. You may call it M.o.D (Mod on Duty) [;)]

Couldn't you already do this yourself? Every forum, in its rules, has a list of the ArchKnights who have moderating powers in the forum as well as the Head Moderator of that forum. If you see a post that breaks the rules, you can simply go to that list and pull up their profiles. The profiles will tell you whether the Moderator/ArchKnight is online or not (except when they've chosen to "Hide from online user list").

that's what I did before, but if all of them are offline, I'd rather pick somebody from a different section and that takes time. Besides, the "Hide from online user list" does prevent the mods/AK from being bothered, but if you want to pm them because somebody breaks the rules, you have to gamble.
If they are on such a list, you can at least assume that it's their normal online time and if they are not online, you can at least pm them because they have a high chance of being awake.

Using the list of responsible AKs and Mods is a start, but if all 8 of them (just an example) are offline. Can you tell which one might be the next one coming online?

The one main problem with posting a schedule of who is online when is that we don't hold our Moderators or AKs to a strict schedule. Since the forum is staffed by volunteers, we only ask that they be available for a certain amount of time per week; we don't specify when that time must be. Likewise, since we have users and Mods/AKs all over the world, there's almost always going to be some time issues... it might be afternoon for you but 2am for the Mod or AK you're trying to reach.

As has been said, your best bet if you see an issue you need to report is to PM one of the AKs or Mods listed for the forum you see the problem in. If it's something really important that needs to be handled ASAP and those people are offline, you can also PM any moderator you see online or even one of the forum Administrators. Just make sure to use your judgement. For example, if someone is double-posting it can probably wait until the Mods or AKs assigned to that forum see your PM; whereas if someone is posting hardcore pornography it would be good if someone found out as soon as possible.

Yeah, I assumed that would be the answer. I never meant to add a fix time schedule just something like:

"Seahawk, usually online Thursday to Sunday from 1pm EST to 5pm EST"

But you are right, Seahawk. If it is urgent, every mod can deal with it, if it's not, it can wait.
