I think atom smasher should be buffed whitch i think means improved a little as it goes up 2 energy drain from level 1 to 4 then 1 energy drain for the last 6 levels of atom smasher also atom smasher can be blocked and is only 1 energy cheaper than emp. emp cannot be stopped/blocked/deflected it costs 10 energy atom smasher costs 9.emp should be nerfed becuase it is way more powerfull than atom smasher (NO FLAMING JUST SUPPORT OR NOT SUPPORT!)

Assimilation is fine, you can gain energy and deal damage while the other ones take energy and deal no damage.

I think atom's base energy reduction should be nerfed, but it scales higher. For example, level 1 atom smasher converts 24% or something like that, but each level increases it by 11%, then 7-9% after a certain level. Something like that would definitely nerf TLM heal loopers who spam level 1 atom to ruin the opponent's healing/offensive capabilities, but in the long run buff atom so it's actually worth leveling up.

atom should be nerfed rather than buffed, remember bounty hunter and cyber hunter has to use 10+ energy to drain your opponent's energy, while tactical mercs have reroute, therefore they can drain other's energy many times as long as their opponent attacks them, so atom smash on tactical mercs is OP and no need to buff it.

The energy reduction and cost is fine.

It only costs 6 energy at lvl 1.


They only thing I would add is when it is blocked the energy reduction amount is considered damage and therefore adds to rage by the amount blocked.

This means having atom smash blocked isn't as bad as a self inflicted stun.

Having it blocked is actually one of the worst possible outcome you can have in a turn worse then a skipped turn because you lose energy and alot worse then normals blocks cause you gain no rage.

You could also say Smokescreen decreases the success rate for Atom Smasher, and Intimidate bluntly decreases the effects.

All skills of each class are not supposed to be equal. A mercenary's multi-shot is stronger than a bounty hunters, for example. Its supposed to be that way.

But still, atom smasher should be unblockable. It's all ready tough enough sacrificing a turn worth of damage to drain energy, you shouldnt have to risk that failing too. Especially since its a merc's main way of stopping a high-massacre bounty hunter which get really good blocking.

What about increase the energy required to use atom smasher lvl 1 to 10 instead of 6 (just like emp scale) and make it unblockable. I think its fair

Agreed. It is a tier 4 skill after all. It should be unblockable, but cost more energy.

I know right. I mean emp is a level 2 for BH and a level 1 for CH and it is unblockable, yet atom smasher and Assimalation is level 4 and blockable? How is that fair.

I think a main issue I'm concerned about is the power that atom smasher gives TLM. By effectively removing around 25 energy with level 1 atom smasher and only requiring 6 energy, TLMs can abuse it to remove any healing/offensive capabilities of the opponents without worrying too much about a penalty to their heal looping, particularly with boosters. Increasing its energy cost but buffing it would definitely be a strong solution to this.

Since its a STR calculated attack and not an ultimate,then I think it should stay blockable however it needs to give a rage bonus for being blocked, this bonus can be quite high and also increase the energy cost at lvl 1

Nope, Atom Smasher can remove a way more than EMP based on strength, also it costs really low energy and gets good % grow per level, thats why it can be blocked.

Wow i honestly think atom smasher is fine maybe it should be unblockable, Emp is way "OP" at lower lvls and if used correctly at lvl 30+ can be devastating.
Then you have the completely useless Assimilation. It is god awful and even putting 6 or 8 skill points in it doesn't do you any good... It might cost no energy but maxed out it takes what 11 energy away? Not worth putting the skill points in it considering tech mages need to have 7-9 reroute and 2 types of shields and DA is a must there is just no room for Assimilation even if it took away 20+ energy assimilation is almost completely useless at high lvls and is not on par AT ALL with Emp or Atom smasher.
Oh almost forgot if atom smasher gets a buff than assimilation should Absolutely get a buff as well!

The thing about Atom Smasher improving with strength is kinda strange to me. If you have high enough strength, its just a waste of a turn instead of you dealing 30+ damage. The players who use it have moderate to low strength which only gives it 25-35 energy drain. I think a buff to the percentage and an increase to the energy consumption would be the best course to take. And yes, getting your Atom Smasher blocked is basically like stunning yourself, and that can be the reason you lose to someone with Massacre. And really, who here has seen someone with 100 strength use Atom Smasher?

If anything, atom smasher needs a nerf, buff assimilation, like for real what do u mean by gain energy from assimilation? its a max of 6 energy when the skill is MAXED OUT, + gets blocked, and mages dont need it since they have reroute.
atom needs 6 energy to take around 21 energy and then loops since TLM got reroute.
more than 80% of the time assimilation is useless.

Assimilation is one of my favorite skills.

I think it is perfectly fine.


If I was forced to give it a change I would say make it so the energy drain side was unblock-able however the damage can be blocked.
