CN2025 -> Golden yeti competition not so golden any more (1/17/2013 23:06:21)

Why i think the golden yeti comp is not so golden :o

There are four achievements that is given to you once the comp is over ,bronze, silver, gold and platinum!

its a *golden comp* u cant just have the best cheevo to ba platinum ,that would jsut wreck the purpose of it ):

Well then just make sure you don't come out #1 and it won't be a problem for you. [:)]

True that but ill still blame the guy who got platinum lol

Xendran -> RE: Golden yeti competition not so golden any more (1/17/2013 23:26:20)

Honestly the more in think about it, the more i feel like i should do a whole slew of 36 hour sessions back to back to win the platinum achievment. 36 hours online, 12 asleep, repeat. All online time live streamed of course.
I might, it would be a fitting return to epicduel.

DO IT XENDRAN! xD Gimme the link to stream pl0x :3

On topic: Yeah idk where or how platinum even got into this... Gold, silver and bronze were fine, why is platinum here?!?!?! ._.

good thing i never had the luxury of buying the ticket. could have felt the same way.:-)

Drianx -> RE: Golden yeti competition not so golden any more (1/18/2013 2:39:22)

@Xen
I think the account sharers would still beat you up.
Just look at all those low profiles that have been gathering tens of thousands wins within just a couple of months. That's too much even for what is commonly called 'hardcore'. I know some, but naming means accusing, which is not allowed.
However there should be a wall of shame somewhere on the forums.

Blitzex/Sr. Zeph -> RE: Golden yeti competition not so golden any more (1/18/2013 2:48:56)

I think the same as drianx, account sharers will win this one for sure.
Even a 36/48 hours player cant beat them, unless he has a 100% win ratio.

Xendran -> RE: Golden yeti competition not so golden any more (1/18/2013 3:06:24)

I may do a test then, where i play for 36 out of EVERY 48 hours using the best build i can make. If i lose to somebody with no recorded proof, then they can check their account logins for different ips.

Charfade has already said that they will pay closer attention, especially during the Tournament, to the players. Not just based on their IP so they can switch with a friend, there are other ways to check it which aren't available to public. ^^

ashtonsdad -> RE: Golden yeti competition not so golden any more (1/18/2013 3:21:31)

the achievements are just an added incentive to play harder, there will be 100 golden yetis awarded , but only one platinum cheevo which will go to first place finisher.

also to my good friend xendran, if you're going to live stream your entire play i would consider preventitive measure to protect against ddos'ing

Already covered, thanks for the concern though.
And yeah, one of the reasons that im going to livestream every time i do a 36h session is for undeniable proof that i'm not cheating.
I would like to note though, the stream is not reccomended for people under the age of 18.
