But stats themselves also affect luck. The way Support gives you higher chance (probability) to Crit or not get Stunned, likewise with Dex and Tech affecting Blocking and Deflections. You call 'luck' luck, I call 'luck' probability which is the same thing. x% chance ___ will happen and y% chance ___ will not happen, it's probabillity or as you call it, luck.

Remorse -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 2:40:15)

^ I know stats effect luck e.e

I said anything OTHER THEN STATS, should not effect luck chances.

And it is for the reason of making ot more probability then luck.

If you add fixed based bonuses to luck chances eg. 5% crit chance skill core then it becomes probability plus a luck bonus.

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 2:50:39)

Probability is luck, giving it fixed 5% chance raises it by that amount (or lowers) which raises/lowers your chances, or probability (luck) of getting a Crit, Deflection or a Block.

Remorse -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 2:54:24)

^ I know,

I just think that fixed amounts should no be added to luck factors to avoid them ever being abused.

They should just be determined by stats.

At least this is my opinion anyway.

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 2:58:00)

But if everyone can get it then there's no difference, unlike in case of SA. Removing most of luck factor is already a no, said by Devs. Only because fixed amount is added that doesn't depend on stats will not be bad, it can aid your build where you're focusing on blocking instead (in case of deflection core) and vice versa. You have as much power to use the same core and have the same advantage.

Remorse -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 3:03:13)

^ Its your opinion that it wont be bad,

My opinion is it will be abuse-able and balance harming.

Also I agree normal luck factors dont need to my reduced, but they surely dont need to be increased either.

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 3:12:24)

Stat overhaul, this will change. And so will the way in which blocks, deflects, etc., will work. If everyone have it, there'd be no difference because it'd cancel each other out. If you have block core and I have deflection core, we have advantage in our own areas and disadvantage in the other.

Probability-based skills aren't bad only because they raise chance (or lower) and are called "luck". Effect of luck will be cut in battles, it won't grant big advantage anymore.

Remorse -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 3:18:58)

^ Hopefully that is the case.

But my opinion still stands.

zion -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 3:41:27)

Wow - if it costs 10k credits just to insert, how much to buy? 150k? Maybe we can take a zero off...

King FrostLich -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 3:49:51)

Deflect Chance and Deflect Power?? Does this mean if the chance of deflecting is increased with this core, we get another luck factor that increases the % of deflecting?? Seems slightly overpowered but that should slightly stop the Infernal Android as well.

the final hour -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 7:21:05)

i heard somewhere IA is getting nerfed in omega anyway ?

You can install the Core by selecting an available Core from your Core inventory and choosing the Credit or Varium "Insert Core" option.

Does this mean we do buy cores once and they get saved in our inventory now? If not, they can count me out of this game. Those prices for a single-time-use item... Nope, enough is enough.

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 10:39:21)

@zion

No.. It states clearly in the DNs:
quote:

Again, prices are subject to change and are for testing purposes.

@King FrostLich
It'll be pretty much like SA but balanced, especially with stats revamp.

@Oba
DNs state "inserting" the Core costs Credits or Varium. So my bets are that these are pretty much cheaper enhancements really. So I guess inserting = buying the Core which should mean the core is permanent, after you make the payment that is.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 10:40:54)

Trans I do hope so. If it is cheaper to equip a core than to buy it I will test all the cores and then buy the ones that work best for me so I always have them on hand

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 10:52:52)

It should be that way, since the screeny in DNs seems to be from the "Core Shop" which means they haven't got the core yet in their "Core inventory" thus having to buy it (or equip really). I believe switching cores will be done with retraining an item which costs few hundred Credits at most (was it 325 in the video?) & you get to adjust your stats and cores of the weapon.

That way, it'll all be fair and square.

Remorse -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 11:02:30)

^ Hopefully that is the case.

Though honestly it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't.

If it is referring to a 10k cost each time just to switch around cores, I'd probably just laugh with disappointment.

blade98 -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 11:38:46)

As Trans said ,the pricing is for testing only ,nightwraith said it on twitter.
quote:

As I said about 2 or 3 times in the DNs, the pricing is for testing only and subject to change..

Remorse -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 11:54:01)

^ Even if that is the case,

The whole cost to insert a core you already purchased is a bad concept , I just hope this isn't the case.

Or if it is it's only a very small credit price no more the a retrain.

blade98 -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 11:59:02)

I know ,but I suppose it won't cost that much..I was hoping you can insert them for free but ..

Remorse -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 12:05:09)

^
your right, We dont know,

If the picture is suggesting it costs each time you equip a core,

We cant really make the assumption despite them saying the pricing is subject to change, that they will lower the cost to some cheap credit cost or free.

Considering the image says 10k

Even if they say pricing is not accurate, you cant really assume they'll make 10k into 500 credits...

But I hope Im completely wrong and that the 10k price is referring to a one time payment?

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 12:27:16)

@blade98
Unless the screenshot in the DNs was inserting the core directly from the "Core Shop" which it DOES seem like if you re-read the paragraph few times. Took me a few as well. Since we will have the Core inventory as well - which players have also wanted - then inserting will likely cost as much as retraining your item.

blade98 -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 12:31:30)

Fair enough,and we'll get more information from DAT video made by le Practel.

zion -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 12:43:29)

Yes we will see in the video, but it seems from the post that buying a core will be very expensive if inserting a core each time will be expensive (~10k). Don't see how someone can complain of locked cores since that's a tun of value locked into the weapon (as long as its useful)!

Ranloth -> RE: =ED= A Handy Guide - Jan. 21, 2013 (1/22/2013 12:53:53)

Oooooooh yeah, Practel's video should explain it. :D
