J.U.S.T.I.C.E. -> How will Epicduel 'Live long and Prosper?' (1/23/2013 5:20:06)

As most of us know, Varium is becoming the poor peoples money consumer. Not only this, but it is Epicduels prime money making strategy.

What do you think will happen in the future? Will you still purchase Varium?

Remorse -> RE: How will Epicduel 'Live long and Prosper?' (1/23/2013 6:46:57)

I think although it may not seem like an advantage short term making the varium/non varium gap nill.

Eventually their will be a greater long term benefit.

Because it will encourage longer playing players, and hopefully with more variety and balance encourage more total players which means more stable long term income.

Also its good to point out that their are many other successful online MMO's that have no battle advantage between paying players and non paying rather perhaps say only looks and shortcuts.

These games also seem to do right ethically as players don't feel forced to buy simply so they can compete at an even scale, which means players might feel happy to buy varium to support the game and it's more brighter attitude.

I think this is a brilliant step in the right direction done by the devs and it has given me promising outlooks for it's future.

Players may become a little more intelligible as a whole due to varium no longer being a reliable winning factor. I wish everyone realized how many bland attack skills there are compared to neutral or defensive skills though...

most of the defensive skills are UP is the main problem

Angels Holocaust -> RE: How will Epicduel 'Live long and Prosper?' (1/23/2013 12:11:27)

I believe that the game will collapse after 3 months at most. Skill cores remind me of something and what does it remind me of, you ask? Class change, it's really nothing new. There are dozens of skill cores but there will always be a certain few that will reign supreme. Once everyone decides to purchase a certain skill core, the devs will nerf them.

You guys are also forgetting one thing, we are transitioning into Omega with the same luck factors that are currently ruining the game. There are more features, but there is luck. We still don't have faction revamp so what good is this?

been said quite often in epic duel history the people who have said it always prooved wrong the fact is the extremely displeased will leave . the slightly displeased will give up buying varium . and theyll get a whole load of support from people who enjoy a balanced game . many will join . we will loose the people who like npcing for their record we'll also loose the ones scared of a fair fight . but not many will mind thoose types of players leaving.

^ who cares if NPC'ers quit we never see them, they are too busy NPC'ing.

Lol the devs never said the cores will be see-able.
IF they are see-able and everyone equips tge same skill core, people like me will try to counter them.

comicalbike -> RE: How will Epicduel 'Live long and Prosper?' (1/23/2013 12:59:06)

the cores will not be seeable so fair to all players and npc players will be gone hehe

Lycan. -> RE: How will Epicduel 'Live long and Prosper?' (1/23/2013 13:28:40)

They should be :/
Guessing skill cores is just luck

Angels Holocaust's many personalities:

2 weeks ago (general idea): This game will never die players are addicted to it.

This week (general idea): This game will die absolutely.

I do not know maybe Angels is the AI at the stock exchange databases.

Mother1 -> RE: How will Epicduel 'Live long and Prosper?' (1/23/2013 16:01:31)

@ angel

No matter how much you say it the game will always have luck in it. Blocks, deflections, stuns, and crits are all luck and even with damage calculations believe it or not it is luck. How so? Because with and attack range of lets say for example 51-55 going against a defense of 32-36 the damage outcomes without a block, deflection, or crit will be between 15-23 and the under you hit will be chosen at random which is guess what? Luck again.

No matter how much they change the calculations and numbers there will always be some kind of luck factor in the game even with damage.

As for nerfing this happened due to enhancements not being easy to get for non varium while it being easy for variums to get them, along with these extra stats supercharging certain builds. Because of this people complained that they couldn't beat them, the numbers reflected the complaints and the nerfing began. Then with these nerfs it made what was normally balanced OP and it process keep on repeating itself.
