I mean stats importance will be a lot smaller, because I'm pretty sure the strongest cores will be equivalent to having 20-50 stat points more. That's why people won't care about stats any more, but about cores.
That is the reason they allowed nonvariums to have the same stat points as variums - because it won't matter anymore.

^ @dimentica That will lead to game changing advantages again, which was the point of Omega... to close the gap between F2P Players and Varium Players! Maybe if it isn't a game changing core, then sure! tbh enhancements really ruined delta for me ._. hope in Omega everyone has a fair chance of winning battles!

@above ~ Pretty sure they said there will be varium only skill cores that offer new/ unique abilities to make the the build varieties even larger while still maintaining balance.

@F4tality If varium doesn't give any advantages then the game will simply go bankrupt. I'm pissed off with all these selfish posts about enhancements and the gap between varium and non-varium. There MUST be such gap no matter how narrow it is.

^Well yea, but not gap. I'd say varium players have more variety than F2Ps. They can change classes more frequently, have access to different items easily(which means they can also constantly change builds), and perhaps some Skill Cores( that's not tooo overpowered) that are Varium-Only.

I haven't had a good battle in this game since early gamma.

And by good I mean the variety of builds is wide and creative, also balance allows all creative style of builds to work.


Also Power builds do NOT dominate spamming power moves to unfairly reduce the opponents options to return hgih amount of damage or hope for luck.

PRIMAL changed his name???? i didnt know well anyways on topic i think they needed it to stop bm or bh winning everyone but they also needed it for omega they needed something to upgrade how the game is played so they chose cores

I think probably in the begging everyopne will have the same weapons and the same cores, but when they mix up the cores it will be completely different gameplay.. which is what I am afraid of

Isnt it still a pay to win game? thats their main goal is to make money and create a great basis game for everyone. I do remain optimistic and hoping for the best :P

theyre will be no difference between varium and none varium in omega hopefully ( and this is coming from a varium player) because they have finnally realised that the gap between varium and none varium is the reason why this game has such a tiny player base. hardly anyone plays and the ones that do r ussually a relatively small group of players alts ( i say relatively small meaning for a mmo ) a mmorpg should be getting far far more then 2k players at absolute best. and its EXTREMELY rare epic duel has 2k players playing at any given time . new players that join obviously tend to quit when they hit a certain wall and we all know what the walls were . so in order to survive in the long run epic duel needs to wipe out the gap especially considering most of the games player base is f2p . so we need to attract more . if it had continued down the route it was taking through gamma and delta i dont think this game wod of lasted another year. it was loosing non variums faster then ever would of got to a point where the only people on the servers were variums . if it didnt shut down b4 then , so yes if you value EDs future omega is needed and the gap must dissapear,

Well the game is pretty balanced for me, all it need is hard work, for getting enchancements, so i guess someway how, this helps non-varium get more experienced with battles. But some classes works better in 1x1 like Blood Mage and Bounty Hunter. In 2x2 Mercs and T Mercs work really well, i find Strength merc build more OP than massacre BH in 1x1, it really pwns me everytime, except when i block they berserker ^_^

But all classes have their power, it depends of how you prefer to play, im using the mostly strength abuse class (Bounty Hunter) with a 5 focus build and im doing pretty well both in 1x1 and 2x2, because i find bounty hunter the mostly "counter" class with Shadow Arts, EMP and Blood Lust. My strategy is tank first hits, then when the opponent has no skills to use, its my time to shine, after long turns, Infernal Droid become really powerfull, also i get HP back from that, really usefull.

I agree each class has a benefit and a weakness, it just takes skill to find it
