Remorse -> The money trap... (2/7/2013 9:15:18)

The whole point of making NPC unlimited was so those stuck in a money trap could farm.

Yet changing builds is now extremely expansive and if you run out of credits and you dont like ur build then you have to verse NPCs,

Problem is the NPCs will actually kill you most the time unless you verse NPCs 5 levels or below then you get extremely low amount of credits each turn and you end up dying of bordem farming NPCs... Or getting crushed by STR builds in normal battles.

Anyone else stuck in this money trap?

theholyfighter -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 9:21:09)

I think I made the best use of my credits, leaving me 50k left....although it's not much, but it can at least help me survive through the pre-release chaos.

Back to topic, the only safe NPC I see is the lvl 30 Mechachilid...

However, 12 credits is just fooling us...NPCs ARE unlimited, but 12 credits?

Renegade Reaper -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 9:24:46)

the credits you get are based on level, the lower the level the fewer creds you get

SouL Prisoner -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 9:32:54)

The NPC becoming madly strong,(the time they said NPC will have better AI and AUX) i did say about this many times, but u guys were the one that said(Trans and i think remorse) "Nah, Cores will replace enhancements and everything will be fine" -.-

the final hour -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 9:40:22)

the level 35 mechachillid is the easiest 35 ive found he isnt too bad assuming he doesnt stun you or stun u twice -_- . hes beat me a couple of times though :/ and yeah he crits alot 32 creds tho so meh and nada loss if u do loose

zion -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 9:43:47)

I'm having pretty nice success against Frost Demon (35) - He gives Yeti Hulk drops as well.

theholyfighter -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 9:53:37)

Have anyone noticed that

By the way, have anyone got any single piece of PVP drop?

the final hour -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 9:55:33)

pvp drops are no more i believe wait

power hours gone ?!

Remorse -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 12:03:50)

@ Soul,

You were right, NPCs are way too hard now.

Smackie El Frog -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 12:08:45)

Why does it matter if they are too hard? Not like they give you any losses now. Evolve or Die Remorse[8D]

Remorse -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 12:11:05)

^ I know just the fact that my build doesn't kill NPCs well, nor goes well in PvP because I was just testing a build.

Yet I am stuck having to verse low level NPCs which is extremely low grinding because of the low credit return.

Problem isn't the difficulty, problem is being stuck with extreme costs and them being difficult to actually get money back... so I can change my build....

When you run out of credits you will see what I mean.

[19:59:49] <~Rabblefroth> There were 2 things that were dropped: broken items, which we didn't have a good answer for how to make them work in the new system at the time, and rusted items which don't really make sense in Omega
[20:00:19] <~Rabblefroth> So we removed the system (at least for now, we might try to revisit it later on)

From yesterday, via IRC. It was one of the players who asked Rabble, so it doesn't hurt if you ask either.

Stabilis -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 12:38:07)

Hour,

Power hours still occur at 10 AM or PM Eastern Standard Time.

Xendran -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 15:35:27)

Is this an early april fools joke? NOT announcing the removal of a major game system?
I expected omega to be a boost in pr, but currently it's a PR nightmare. We have NO official full patch notes, almost every skill core is luck based, and it was only tested for maybe 10% of the amount it should have been.

Nexus... -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 15:58:18)

Have to agree with Xendran, and everyone else here. The testing should have been much more throrough. Every skill is luck based aside from generator. That is sad. HP scaling, class balance, all of that is ruined, and yeah, credit farming is horrible. 450 level 30 NPC's need to be killed in order to get 10k creds. Thats alot. idk, I'm not really happy with Omega. Balance and Testing team either 1. needed more time or 2. don't know what they are doing.

And removing drops lmfao...

ok

RabbleFroth -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 15:59:56)

Hmm, I mistakenly thought we had announced the removal of PvP Drops. I must have made a post about it on the forums and not pushed it to the DNs. That's my mistake for not making sure.

I wouldn't say that PvP drops were a major game system, nor did that do much aside from give you free credits every once in a while, but we should certainly have announced it ahead of time. Again, my fault for not following up on this.

On topic:
We're making preliminary balance changes this week, and will continue to make them as necessary. We'll also be addressing retrain costs as we agree they're a bit too high.

On NPCs, we were probably a bit too conservative in docking their power, especially at higher levels, so we'll address this soon as well. Can't promise that we'll directly nerf NPCs next patch since we'll make some other changes that might make them a bit easier than they are now. If they're still too strong we'll definitely knock em down a peg or two.

Xx. Christian .xX -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 19:27:14)

sorry but, all npcs are unlimited now? i mean like even if your level 34 playing a level 29 npc? npcs gives money right?

edwardvulture -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 19:38:46)

fighting an npc 5 levels below you would get you 12 credits

Xx. Christian .xX -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 19:40:19)

in short i could play ANY NPCS any levels! and i still get credits? and its unlimited right? sorry again i know it should be on Q&A

Mother1 -> RE: The money trap... (2/7/2013 19:48:58)

@ christian

Nope it is still the same as with delta. Meaning NPC that are 5 levels lower then you don't award you anything. However the ones that award you credits are now unlimited. However it would have been better if they left it the same as delta with the credit rewards of NPC.
