masterbobi -> removing the ''losses'' bar (2/9/2013 15:25:52)

In omega the losses are much higher and some of my friends had gone mad and even want to quit the game because they lose allot. It's not about if they actually lose allot but rather that they feel annoyed that anyone can see how much times they have lost. Leave the win bar there but just remove the times that a player has lost the battle, please

Shaden -> RE: removing the ''losses'' bar (2/9/2013 15:29:23)

They shouldn't be on a PVP game if they are poor sports.

Lycus -> RE: removing the ''losses'' bar (2/9/2013 17:14:08)

The point of all PvP is to get some kind of gauge of how good you are in the PvP, if you cannot see how many losses you have and only wins, there is very little motivation to compete. The point of people being able to see your losses, is it gives you more of a reason to win and it makes you care if you lose. It's weird to say this, but a game you cannot lose in and can only win, is pretty boring. I mean look at COD, have a bad K/D on there? Nobody really minds, some people may, but you ignore them, because you know there are so many people out there in the same position as you. The same is here, many people complain when they have a 7,000 wins to 2,500 losses (73% win rate), they battle some more and go to 10,000 wins to 5,000 losses (67% Win rate) - it's a worse rate than before, but it is still good, you have much higher wins than losses, and will continue to do so. In the 5,500 more battles fought there, 3,000 were won, 2,500 lost - if you ask me, any ratio you are winning more than you lose is good. Even if you win the same amount as you loose, it's still no big deal. At the end of the day, it motivates you to use other builds, try to improve yourself and to keep battling and finding new ways strategies.

People have the choice to look at the positive or the negative side of this, it is their choice, but honestly, it makes this game much better than it would be without and I feel if the losses bar was removed, even the people complaining about it would realise that!

Fortitudo -> RE: removing the ''losses'' bar (2/9/2013 17:41:00)

I think it's funny that people want 80% + win ratios. Personally I'm happy if I can get a 66% ratio (2:1). With all the luck factors and randomness in the game I don't expect more.

ValkyrieKnight -> RE: removing the ''losses'' bar (2/12/2013 19:25:22)

As long as my win count is higher than my losses, I'm O Key Doh Key.

DeathiZClarity -> RE: removing the ''losses'' bar (2/12/2013 19:44:59)

I dont want this to happen, but im still annoyed about how everyone calls me a 'hacker' or a 'botter' or a 'noob' just becuase I was hacked at a point in time, and all my items were deleted. I had to go through them loses in order to regain my items. AND. IT. SUCKED. Especially in the process of everyone going "LOL no items? Noob" It got so annoying.

i have to suggestions that i would like to be implemented:
1. 'lock' an item. You can either lock an item for a certain number of days, or lock it forever. This way, in the case that you do get hacked, they cant delete your items. And you'll have a safe return (other than them blowing off all your cred) when you finally get it back.
2. Implement an 'ignore' button, so you can ignore people for acting like jerks. And jumping to conclusions.

ValkyrieKnight -> RE: removing the ''losses'' bar (2/12/2013 19:53:45)

You mean like a bank that needs a extra pin code to access? I know many Korean MMOS are starting to pick up on that trend. As for calling no item players "noob" I must admit it is annoying to get a naked partner in 2v2 but I usually assume they were a victim of some sort of activity so I grit my teeth and take the potential loss.

DeathiZClarity -> RE: removing the ''losses'' bar (2/12/2013 19:57:16)

^ a pincode bank would be an awesome implement. Just like aqworlds, except has a pincode or 'password'

Exploding Penguin -> RE: removing the ''losses'' bar (2/12/2013 22:00:58)

Not supported, while I have lost fights to luck I've only lost about 1/10 of my losses to luck, which is definitely okay with me. I've won possibly 1-2/10 fights because of deflections (my Deflect rate is always 31% because I have 187 tech). If you can't stand losing to luck for a small portion of all your losses, then that's the players' loss because they're experiencing the same thing every other player experiences. Also, if you're losing a lot to luck because these people are using the "OP strength builds," then the fact that they quit is even more ridiculous because with large investments in strength comes a gamble on luck for blocks, deflects, and criticals.

Mother1 -> RE: removing the ''losses'' bar (2/12/2013 23:07:20)

Not supported in the least. Besides even if they did remove the loss part of the bar as long as you can see the amount of battles that person has gotten and the wins they got all you need to do is do the math and you can still find out that person's loses even if it isn't shown.

DeathiZClarity -> RE: removing the ''losses'' bar (2/13/2013 0:28:57)

^ your point is incorrect, if you've been lvl cap for a very long time, you wouldnt be able to do the math, plus in the past there were 'arcades' which you could've won up to 10k credits.

But I agree, not supported.

theholyfighter -> RE: removing the ''losses'' bar (2/13/2013 3:01:15)

Not supported......

Remorse -> RE: removing the ''losses'' bar (2/13/2013 5:33:05)

Not supported for the most obvious reasons already stated.

But another MAJOR problem which would come from this is botters.

Currently botters are kept at bay by the fact that if you bot you will probably lose.

Without loses their is nothing stopping players wanting to bot endlessly to get wins without having to play.

DeathiZClarity -> RE: removing the ''losses'' bar (2/13/2013 5:59:11)

@Remorse

Very good reason. this would give botters no shame, other than people that fought them while they were botting, and remember.
