If you're on a losing streak, it can be quite frustrating. So I figured, since Omega is all about balance, why not help the people that STILL need help?

If you're on a losing streak, in your character stats you should have this section called "Lucky Stars". When you lose 1 match, you gain 0.5% of a Lucky Star. Once you lose a 2nd match in a row, it should increase to 1.5% Lucky Stars and so on, so it should be like this...

1 loss- 0.5%
2 losses- 1.5%
3 losses- 2.5%
4 losses- 3.5%
5 losses- 5 full stars

So you're probably wondering, what do these lucky stars do, and why are they important?

Lucky stars effect your luck standards until you end up winning a match. Block-Rate, Deflection-Rate, and Critical-Rate are increased by these stars. You ONLY get them from receiving losses and the stars erase back to 0 once you win. After 5 losses, you have 5 full stars. Meaning Blocks, Deflections, and Crits increase by 5%.

It'd make some people feel better if they didn't lose so much. These boosts will NOT make it a sure fire win for someone with 5 stars. Just give them a slight boost since obviously, their build isn't really working out or it's probably just a rough day for them.

So then, on to the Win-Streaks.

If you're on a winning streak, in your character stats you should have a section called Fatigue.

Fatigue wouldn't effect a character much at all. It just makes sense if the Lucky Stars were put into the game. Fatigue would decrease your luck rates. Not by as much as the Lucky Stars' increase in luck rates though. Once you hit 3 wins, fatigue steps in so it'd look like...

Fatigue level 1: -0.5% (3 wins)
Level 2: -1% (4 wins)
Level 3: -1.5% (5 wins)
Level 4: -1.8% (6 wins)
Level 5: -2.5% (7 wins)

This would decrease your ability to only block and deflect and NOT critical ratios, only by -2.5% at maximum level. And remember, fatigue only steps in at level 1 ONLY when you win 3 matches in a row. Fatigue level will decrease back to 0 once you lose. So in order to reach level 5, you will need to win 7 straight matches in a row, since it takes 3 wins to get it, and you go up by 1 level each win after that.

This would give struggling players a fighting chance. Some builds just aren't working out for some people, and it's rough for them to find one that works. If you're build is definitely looking so powerful your able to get to level 5 fatigue, it'd only make sense to decrease your block rates and deflection rates SLIGHTLY if Omega is for Player Balance.

These sections should be put in letters where Agility use to be, just stating their Fatigue level and Luck level.

*Note* These are NOT skills nor Cores.

Interesting idea but not supported.

While I don't mind luck myself, This would make the game even more luck based and right now there is far to much of it even for my taste.

I kinda support, and I kinda dont. VERY interesting idea though. And unlike most suggestion people make, it doesnt effect game balance by much.

Overall, supported. [:D]

@Mother1

If a player who's on a 10 win streak just beats you by like, 2 crits and a block, don't you think this MIGHT mean their becoming lucky? Or their overpowered?

This would stop overpowered builds all together. And the win-streaks and loss-streaks somewhat counter eachother. So if you have a SERIOUS problem winning, a little luck on your side would never hurt.

And if you're becoming unbeatable, your opponent deserves a chance too since your becoming either extremely lucky yourself, or you have an overpowered build.

Overall, it stops luck from people who do not deserve lady luck's help on their side.

Nah, too luck based.
