Remorse -> Double Strike CD. (2/13/2013 10:55:38)

It has only 1! cool down....

Normally I wouldn't mind that some skills be given very low cool downs, but not STR attacks..

Even when the STR skills are nerfed this skill should get a double nerf and increase the CD to 2.

I just versed a STR TLM, but this could of been a Merc as well.

who went 1st and doubled, then he used chairman's fury, then Raged double, I'm dead...

I died despite having put lvl 8 intim with reasonable support on him the first turn I got.
In those quick 3 turns.

I died quicker then any time I verse a berserk merc.

This nerf here is extremely easy, I would be a bit disappointed if they don't consider this for the upcoming nerf STR builds patch.

That's if its coming soon.

ED Prince of Shadows -> RE: Double Strike CD. (2/13/2013 11:41:25)

Supported, blud and cheap shot are supposed to be the equivalents, yet have two turn cool downs.

G4m3r -> RE: Double Strike CD. (2/13/2013 12:15:54)

Then give TLM smokescreen back.

Mother1 -> RE: Double Strike CD. (2/13/2013 12:26:20)

@ G4m3r

Oh sure and then strength TLM's will be running all over the place like before. They already have passive shield's health regain with frenzy and energy regaining with reroute. They don't need smokescreen back it will just OP the class like it was a year ago.

G4m3r -> RE: Double Strike CD. (2/13/2013 12:28:04)

Can anyone tell me a tlm strenght build?

Blitzex/Sr. Zeph -> RE: Double Strike CD. (2/13/2013 12:39:20)

^ Easy
5-10-1
0-1-0
10-4-0
dont know the rest.
Because im not a brainless spammer :)

NDB -> RE: Double Strike CD. (2/13/2013 19:43:20)

Double Strike is the worst % more Damage Strength skill there is and costs an unreasonable amount of energy to use. Bludgeon is purely a better version. I assume this is why they made it a 1 turn cooldown in the first place, or a way of prevent people from using like this.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Double Strike CD. (2/13/2013 22:58:49)

Not supported, it costs an insane amount of energy given its small damage boost, and it's blockable as well. The increased energy cost is particularly important because it now costs more to invest into energy. While base energy was massively increased, this makes it hard to abuse the 1-turn cooldown because of the high amount of energy that zerker and double strike costs, unless the opponent decides not to zerker, in which case this would only happen when there was an EP-removing move because zerker is a far stronger alternative.

Remorse -> RE: Double Strike CD. (2/14/2013 2:11:59)

I would be fine if it also had an energy reduction,

However you guys make a reasonable argument,

I would continue to argue against this skill however, I know it's up for a Nerf along with other weapon based STR attacks, and hopefully this will be enough to make it less powerful.

Midnightsoul -> RE: Double Strike CD. (2/15/2013 19:37:32)

Yes, double strike needs a two turn cooldown. I used to spam this skill when I was a TLM...

Bloodpact -> RE: Double Strike CD. (2/16/2013 1:22:20)

Lol Double strike needs a nerf dats funneh.

Guys lets nerf the high energy:low damage skill with a cool down nerf
..BECAUSE it's other two (MUCH STRONGER) sister skills are 2 cool down.

I'd approve of such things if it was made unblockable lol.

Sum: Unsupported

Remorse -> RE: Double Strike CD. (2/16/2013 1:58:42)

^

The other two "sisters skills" as you call them are not that much stronger for a start and they both have weaknesses that double strike does not.

Bludgeon for example HAS to be physical, double strike can be both depending on the primary so the slightly less cost and slightly higher damage makes up for the fact its restricted to a single
damage type.

And cheap shot is very susceptible to intimidate due to the fat it's is not calculated on weapon % which means it is A LOT weaker when intimidated compared to double strike.

Your sarcasm undermining people's valid arguments has left your point tarnished and now proven wrong.
