fighuasss -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 6:25:17)

Master Pally vs Shadow Priest...
Who would win? (No deck comparison)

almanac01 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 6:33:57)

Shadow Priest.

fighuasss -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 6:44:58)

And why? (Pally's blade is Uber.)

Lemonus -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 6:45:39)

I think Energy Masters depend TOO MUCH on Energize because if you don't draw it within 1-3 turns, you're pretty much stuck to normal attacks and blocks.

@above Because it's large/slow and he can't even jump with it.

Skurge -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 6:50:39)

The Lei's have one really bad downside to them. Too much specials and no attack cards to combine them
with. =/

almanac01 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 6:58:47)

Lemonus -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 6:59:44)

@above A Lv4 HHman

linklink0091 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 7:01:58)

Cyber doom5 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 7:05:23)

Wait so didn't they make it easier to find newer characters?

Or was that just in dungeons?

Lemonus -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 7:09:05)

@link Good for you, I can't beat any boss with 14 :/ Too much HP I guess.

sith lord 456 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 7:18:01)

i think the fact that we get to possess a char straight after beating a boss means a boss SHOULD be difficult.

the best way i can think of achieving this is, firstly, balancing the cards! so the players actually stand a chance.

then, secondly, have the boss at a SPECIFIC level (of i.e. 25, yes i know that is above the cap us players can get to, but its a boss). the boss's level should not be adjacent to a players character level. that is just me though.

another thing is to make the boss more lucky with the cards than the player.

Lemonus -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 7:23:44)

Aww, Maggot Wiki page still isn't updated :/

@sith Lv25... No. Too much HP combined with their probablystillhighafternerf damage output, that's still OP. And the bosses are already MUCH luckier in terms of cards more than us...

sith lord 456 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 7:26:34)

i think the energy cost of the atk cards is what the problem is. if its scaled properly, then the boss will be easy to beat. a boss still needs to be challenging. its in the nightmare dungeon btw. just my thoughts.

even if you do not agree with a lv25 boss, do you not think it is a little silly to be able to challenge a boss at any level?

meaning when you challenge the boss, the boss will have the same level as the persons char? lol

fighuasss -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 7:46:03)

I'm bored. Dunno what to do.

linklink0091 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 8:06:03)

@lemon at this point the only way to really kill them is with a lucky draw of hand at a low to mid level character

Blackshock -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 8:07:17)

@Fig: You can help me out by voting for my Artix Pop Culture contest entry [:D]

shameless plugging aside, anyone else been getting any frequent flash crashes? It's been stopping me from collecting my latest rev version XD

If none has noticed, there is a new DN:

New Release Schedule Coming Soon!

Overpowered Bosses

Hello Oversoul Players,
Your experiences in the game are being heard and taken into consideration. We will make sure boss powers are adjusted soon since the game's main features are not in-game yet.

New Game Features

I wanted card customization, artifacts, elemental counters, leader boards and alignments to be in 3 months ago! This game is not the game I came to make without those features. Warlic and Rolith are working as fast as they can but also have to split their time with other games. The only thing that makes these features so complicated to code is the fact that we made this an MMO game. But true PvP matches is what this game was designed around so leaving that out was not an option.

Me and Rev are doing our best to pump out content that have some sort of purpose behind them. The quest system is not yet able to support anything more than what is in-game already. As of now we are just trying to populate the world. Creating new backgrounds, characters, animations, gameplay features like new card specials, quests and story is pretty challenging to do and also be unique every week. It's just too much for 2 let alone 1 person to do.

Bi-Weekly Releases

Soon, Oversoul will move to bi-weekly releases for two reasons:
1. I need to help on other projects like AE's upcoming mobile games and AQW3D Legends of Lore!
2. The weeks I don't help on other games will give us time to release a better quality update to you Oversoul Players.

Oversoul will be a completely different animal once we have all the core functions of the game working. Slowly but surely, it's coming!

-Nulgath

I can't say I'm surprised by things moving to Bi Weekly. I guess I asked for this after all. Like I said and was pointed out to me however by other staff, less releases but more core gameplay IS a double edged sword and I hope it's one Nulgath keeps in mind. If I find that waiting for two weeks leads to just new characters I would be even more angry then a one week release. And I'm relativly restrained in my opnions. (Key word being relativly)

Riniti -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 8:10:09)

So it's the word for word message he posted on the forums yesterday? xD

fighuasss -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 8:10:43)

What?! I hate AQ3D :(

megakyle777 -> RE: =OS= Beta Release Thread LXXXVI - READ THE FIRST POST (2/15/2013 8:15:07)

Fishauss; A little extreme don't you think? AQ3D's not even out yet and from what I understand a lot has changed since the Pre Alpha. Although that may just be art style that can really affect a game. Add to that we know NOTHING of it and there's no real reason to hate AQ3D.

Riniti: Did he say anything else/ I've been meaning to ask him if possible if he still has Wild Cards planned or if he dropped that.
