Cyber Dream -> Steps to developing a succesful faction (2/17/2013 12:28:18)

What are your ways to keep your faction up and running?

superbat67 -> RE: Steps to developing a succesful faction (2/17/2013 12:33:50)

delete anyone who has low influence and has not been active for a long time

Variation -> RE: Steps to developing a succesful faction (2/17/2013 12:43:12)

I simply recruit lower level players and help them with builds... From what I've seen most of the players that I have helped turned out to be very loyal.

Calogero -> RE: Steps to developing a succesful faction (2/17/2013 13:04:01)

Faction leader has to be a great guy/girl like Smackie for my faction

and the rest should be active when asked if for example we'd go for a daily...
If there are rules and the rules are followed, then the faction can grow into
a succesfull one :)

Demon Emperor -> RE: Steps to developing a succesful faction (2/17/2013 13:20:42)

The most important thing if you want a successful faction is to have active players. So what I do is promote my most active members, and remove anyone who hasnt played in 15 days (unless they have donated a lot of tokens, then I wait until 30).
Having rules and goals is important too, such as rules for how long you can be unactive until you're kicked, or who can be an officer, and goals for capturing flags and getting on the leaderboards.

Although my fac hasn't gotten very far up any of the leaderboards, and we are still 10000 tokens away from a flag capture, I would say its successful, as it is still active after 249 days.

You need loyal and active friends

Vagaran -> RE: Steps to developing a succesful faction (2/17/2013 14:23:36)

Loyalty is a must in the Faction. Having unloyal players can turn out to be trouble some.

I'm also doing this, although I give them 30 days to get back on.

Pinkie Pie -> RE: Steps to developing a succesful faction (2/17/2013 14:36:05)

A lot of players are always rambling about loyalty, true it is important;but sometimes it's not fault of the player for being disloyal. Most of the times faction are just really boring and rude .Instead of just going for dailies non-stop, try to make things fun for everyone. When going for dailies, check with each member to find out what days they will be available, and choose the best day from there. Also, please remember that some players have actual LIVES outside of Epicduel, so take that into consideration. Don't forget to say your please and thank you's to everyone in the faction from time to time, let them know they are appreciated!

Smackie El Frog -> RE: Steps to developing a succesful faction (2/17/2013 14:54:36)

Pinkie Pie, I agree with most of your post, but this part I quoted.

My faction just won daily faction 1v1 and world domination on at most a 5 hour notice for maybe 1/4 of the faction. Yet we still mowed down the competition and everyone knows my faction is pretty inactive compared to most that go for daily titles.

Q...Q -> RE: Steps to developing a succesful faction (2/17/2013 15:55:00)

Nothing seems to work for me

I'm still alone in my faction , Where are the Canadians Rednecks in Epicduel ?

ScarletReaper -> RE: Steps to developing a succesful faction (2/17/2013 22:22:12)

With mine I make the top 5 influence officers, I boot people after 5 days cause I think that's plenty of time, however I give leeway if they tell me beforehand, say for instance their family is going on vacation for a week or something. I also boot if they have less than 200 influence after a few days. Try and recruit between level 20-30 because these people tend to be more active and usually those above level 30 who aren't in a faction don't want to be. Also helps to be polite and friendly.

Made 4 Sunny Days -> RE: Steps to developing a succesful faction (2/18/2013 1:21:16)

As a faction founder you want to get to know the members in your fac. If you're fun and available, people are more likely to enjoy your fac and stay with you.
I would recruit friends/people you know in the game to be your officers.
Once/eventually when factions start having a bigger role in the game (instead of the almost non-existent role they have now) it should be easier to find people to fill your faction.
One mistake I think they made in regards to factions was allowing people to create them using credits. This means a greater quantity of factions with fewer people.
