Aceplosion -> The end of the battle (2/17/2013 17:34:31)

I'm running into more and more of the kind of people that would wait until the very end of the match when they fall over in defeat to call me a "stupid strength noob" how does every feel about that? It actually greatly amuses me that they have to wait until the very last moment so that I couldn't say anything back them.

ED Prince of Shadows -> RE: The end of the battle (2/17/2013 17:49:07)

I've been called a noob when the person who beat me got (and needed) two blocks, two crits, and a deflect. Generally I ignore such comments.

the final hour -> RE: The end of the battle (2/17/2013 18:16:50)

see im divided on this

a strengh build takes absolutely no skill to use . we all know this.

does that make such comments right . no. they should feel sorry for people using strengh builds cos theyve been forced into it cause of how outrageously overpowered they are, and it makes their record alot less valuable . cause 10000 wins got on a OP build isnt worth much. 10000 wins on a balanced build your a pvp pro.

i guess my point is.

dont insult the strengh types. [:)]

pity them .

ScarletReaper -> RE: The end of the battle (2/17/2013 22:28:07)

Not all strength users get by with no strategy. I beat a lot of other strength users because I used superior strategy. However sometimes a lucky block or critical would get the best of me. Luck is a major factor on this game unfortunetly. However I decided that strength merc was too overpowered for me so I switched to bloodmage and am trying to find a good non strength build for it. :D

Dual Thrusters -> RE: The end of the battle (2/17/2013 22:34:49)

i actually faced this pretty darn good strength merc today and the battle lasted 21 turns, so yea just to add on above

Made 4 Sunny Days -> RE: The end of the battle (2/18/2013 1:32:20)

Insulting others gets you nowhere, and certainly not after the battle has concluded. Unfortunately there are a lot of players among the Epicduel community who seem to take personal offense to losing and will try to take one last stab at you using words. Whether it's "varium abuser" or "strength noob" many people get mad at the end. While I really cannot stand strength abusers, Im certainly not going to insult them for the tactic they use. After all, they give me someone to fight against.

"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."

A simple saying from childhood that rings true, just don't let it bother you :)

~Stay Sunny~

Aceplosion -> RE: The end of the battle (2/18/2013 3:55:39)

The "strength noob" was just one of the many examples I could have used.
Right now i'm strength ish with lots of support and every critical core I could get (muahaha)

Yo son -> RE: The end of the battle (2/18/2013 13:01:41)

although I don't think in appropriate for your opponent to use names, I do in a way agree with what your opponent said, , maybe you should stop abusing strength and ruining other peoples fun. Surly you don't expect you opponent to be happy when you can kill them in two turns, needless to say there isn't a lot of thing the person can do, expect hope for a block.

Aceplosion -> RE: The end of the battle (2/18/2013 13:35:13)

^I'm a bounty hunter unless the opponent is really bad or I smoke and crit cheap shot I can't kill anyone in 2 turns. At the time I had a decent amount of str, but would I consider it abusing? Probably not. My one sided victory was probably more due to the new Azrael gear rather than my strength.

ReinVI -> RE: The end of the battle (2/18/2013 13:49:13)

@ above ^ ok three-four turns until you use massacre.. not to big of a difference >>

plus where I don't believe being rude is right hatred towards str abuse is justified since it does ruin the fun of this game for pretty much everybody.

Aceplosion -> RE: The end of the battle (2/18/2013 18:22:29)

Lol if it makes you guys reaalllyyy happy my strength is only 14-17(or something) now and I don't even have massacre. The original topic was how you felt about people saying something to you right before all battle functions stopped not for "oh well you deserve it for using strength anyways because it ruins the game for everyone else." I stated that it was one of the many examples I could have used. If you never once since the beginning of omega used a strength build to try it out- good for you. Since there's probably no way of this discussion going back on topic..

Requesting lock.

Yo son -> RE: The end of the battle (2/18/2013 21:33:46)

^ you are a troll, don't blame anyone on this post, for coming after you. Unless you are a really low level, that's not considered high strength.

UnderSoul -> RE: The end of the battle (2/18/2013 23:15:34)

I got called a noob by the guy I beat the turn BEFORE I won. Served him right!

Aceplosion -> RE: The end of the battle (2/19/2013 1:30:57)

@Yo son not one to go into minor details but I said it was my strength as of now, so I really don't see how i'm trolling. And like I said strength noob was one of the many examples that I could have used, i'm not sure about you but I like to test every build that is out there. If I use it for a couple battles to find out if a build worked, but get flamed for mentioning the strength aspect of the build and that I am ruining the game for others because I wanted to try something different than the usual.. so be it.

Giras Wolfe -> RE: The end of the battle (2/19/2013 1:33:53)

A strength player that knows how to think beats me far more often than one that doesnt.

Winters Key -> RE: The end of the battle (2/19/2013 1:36:14)

@Sunnny

Words actually can often hurt.

Made 4 Sunny Days -> RE: The end of the battle (2/19/2013 1:54:21)

They can hurt, this I know very well. The point Im trying to make though, is that in an online game such as this, being called a name like that because the other person is mad they lost shouldn't matter to you. I work at an extended care and I tell the kids all the time, just because someone calls you a name, doesn't mean its true. In this game's case, it might be true, but it really shouldn't matter to you. I you are going to abuse strength then you should be prepared to have people call you out on it and not let it affect you. That said, in real life, outside of games, you shouldn't let petty name calling hurt you either.

midnight assassin -> RE: The end of the battle (2/19/2013 2:05:20)

To avoid insults especially in 2v2 I entertain my enemy just like what I did when I battled Made 4 Sunny Days.
@Sunny. Remember midnight striker?

Made 4 Sunny Days -> RE: The end of the battle (2/19/2013 2:16:01)

@Midnight

Off the top of my head I dont, what happened when you battled me?

midnight assassin -> RE: The end of the battle (2/19/2013 7:35:51)

@Sunny
Remembered getting partnered with a lvl 35 str merc and my partner is a ch. If I didn't deflect a lot in our fight, you would've win.

theholyfighter -> RE: The end of the battle (2/19/2013 9:03:50)

quote:

If you never once since the beginning of omega used a strength build to try it out- good for you

Sticked with 5 focus and/or 4 focus from the very beginning of Omega.

Unknown Menace -> RE: The end of the battle (2/19/2013 13:07:47)

I understand what you mean. At day one of omega i had somebody telling me at the very end of a battle 'no more npc for you' at first i didn't understand it. Than i realised he must have meant my battle records. It's annoying because obviously 'it' was smart enough to make a comment like that but 'ít' did not even take time to do some research like i don't know view someones achievments to see a (infernal) war rank. Meaning npc all day every day for the entire duration. It's not like i was aiming for a good record which is totally useless anyway.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: The end of the battle (2/19/2013 15:28:57)

Yea, this is really annoying when people slander you with totally unreasonable comments. While I try to ignore them, they really get to me. I feel like there's no remedy to this other than to handle it everybody's own way, so all players unfortunately have to deal with these particularly immature people.

Hallodeath -> RE: The end of the battle (2/20/2013 12:23:00)

Most people are forced into using these kinds of builds - especially strength ones. People who do the yeti quests have no choice but to go Strength Merc.

This is a basic, never-ending loop in ED, that's for sure. And because of this loop, people become cockier, thinking that by copying a build, they can become what they call "Pro".
