It was supposed to be released only a few days after omega was released.

The game is never going to be perfectly balanced, but right now its not too shabby.

Strength Mercenaries have died down significantly. Focus builds are more common. There's a lot of diversity in 1v1 overall.

I've long since lost any enthusiasm I had worked up during Delta for the tournament, so at this point I don't really care that much.

But seriously, when will the game be "perfect enough" to allow the tournament?

That's for the Devs to decide, not us. This tournament is a test of a new system, just like everything else in Omega.

If they put it off, they're putting off future improvements and additions to the tournament system.

I say, enough waiting. They've been asking the question "Are you Yeti?" for far too long.

I've been "Yeti" for this tournament for almost 2 months now.

I say lets get this ON!

Yes boosters are disabled, they should stay that way. Especially since there is a core you can place on your armor that works exactly like, yup you guessed it, boosters.
And as Nightwraith said in his post there will be more balance refinements, none of us know what these will entail. As far as 2v2 goes, I've seen pretty good balance and think that we aren't too far out from having pretty good balance when it comes to 1v1, but Im sure others will disagree. I've found that with a good build and strategy, you should have a chance against anyone you face.

Its getting better but still could be a lot better.


I would rather they wait say a month into omega.

Because their is honestly no rush,

Even people who like balance as it is now should be patient because it could be a lot better.


After all what were they gonna expect that they could get balance sorted as soon as they release?

Or even in the first few weeks of omega?

I don't think so, I say give them a chance to make a lot of touch ups and possibly balance the skill core's and add a few more before it starts.

It can get better and it absolutely will, I trust the devs, they know what they are doing. To clarify, I know we still need balance, but I'd be willing to bet there will be a lot less complaints after this next update.

We never really had ''balance'' so yeah..
There was always a OP class/build in delta.
Omega wont likely change that.

Just let the tournament start already.
They said few days after omega, its been 2 weeks already -.-

I agree with trans.. no boosters is better not fair that someone wins just cause they stall the game with a health pack then rage kill the opponent >.>

Leave the boosters out of ED! They are nothing but a stalling tactic for people who cannot make good builds!

Generator is good substitute, it allows classes to have EP or HP heal without any drawback (i.e. EP cost, cooldown/warm-up, wasting skill points, etc.). It's not perfect but everyone have Heal, 2 classes have Reroute (so Generator for HP + Field Medic), one class has Frenzy and other has Static Charge (Frenzy heals HP + with Reroute you can go for E lean + MA is great with it) & in terms of SC for CHs, they can go for P due to how they have PA for Resistance and SC for Energy so focus more on Defence than Resistance).

It's more about strategy. Generator fills in all the gaps that builds have almost flawlessly. Boosters can be exchanged for old idea of Grenades; purchaseable like boosters but have effects such as DoT, HoT, etc. I'd be more happy with Grenade-like items than Boosters back.

Made 4 Sunny Days, So it is fair that Atom smasher can take away 30+ energy and just recently a hunter took away 49 points of energy not once but twice that is after I used generator after the first energy steal so they either need to brig back energy boosters or give the classes that don't have energy regain a passive energy regain skill.

If the Blood Mage can't use skills because of high energy steal then they need to take away all skills from the Blood Mage skill tree, just have Energy shield, Reflex Boost, Deadly Aim, and Field Medic without boosters EMP and Atom Smasher creates huge balance problems.

As you can see there are less Blood Mages running around and ot one at the top of any leader boards. The Blood Mage will become a extinct class because players will be thinking why should I be part of the class with weak skills, no debuff that increases damage, lack of Blocking, and no good energy regain.

Leaderboard has what to balance? It shows which class kills the fastest which is Str-abuse Mercenary for now.. <_< Extinct class? Mercs were extinct up until Omega yet did that bother anyone? Nope. They wanted a buff that wasn't caused due to misbalance like now but buff to be on par with other classes.

Pro-tip: When creating a build, think about "What if.." situations. Example of draining EP is one, what will you do if that happens? If you don't think about that, you're bound to lose unless abuse comes into play.

Yes, 49 on EMP needs good Tech and actually investing points into it. This can happen to ANYONE so why are BMs affected the most? TMs and TLMs can be done in the same way but you'd need to use the skill twice due to Reroute. It harms them just as bad. No one has problems with either skill since CH EMP-loop has stopped but you seem to have hard time adjusting because not relying on EP is somewhat new to players nowadays. :I

Hun idk what you are talking about. Sure an EMP will take your builds main strategy and toss it out of the window, but surely you have a counter?

You aren't new to epic duel so you should be aware that almost every class pre-omega can damage your energy bank and now with that new skill core all classes can do it!

And before you go saying something I have been a blood mage since Friday and have lost very very little 1v1 battles with my current build.

I once again point to the generator core as well as the greatly increased base pool of energy for each class, this alone should make up for the extra 50 energy you could bring in with boosters. Im curious, how would you have countered the BH taking away 49 energy twice with boosters? He can't use it two turns in a row, so you have time to make use of the energy you regain with generator.

Firstly blood mages can regain energy using reflex boost, not a lot, but enough for the bonus dexterity it grants. Secondly, if all classes that don't have an energy regain got a passive energy regain then we would have classes with blood lust and reroute? That would certainly give blood mage's a crazy skill set. Strength mercs being able to abuse double strike and massacre, while also being able to heal with the energy they gain back? Come on, that's just not a good idea.
