Exploding Penguin -> Support and chances of going first (2/19/2013 19:21:23)

I really think that support's chance of making someone go first should be near absolute. It's ridiculous how I have double most focus builds' support and I still don't even go 2nd in about 30% of all the 2v2s I've done. Also, underdog (lower level boosts chance of going first) is way too severe, and/or needs to be changed. 4 stat points is pretty much nothing if you have 2 similar builds fighting and the level 34 goes first against the level 35, which often results in the 35 losing.

Hard boy -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/20/2013 2:48:30)

yeah i hate it when i have 160+ supp and a str merc with 20 supp starts 1st, like wth that defeats the purpose of my build. and i think that more supp=always start 1st 110% chance, there should be a difference between 20 supp and 160 supp that has nothing to do with luck.

NDB -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/20/2013 3:01:29)

For having that much support it should already be near absolute. Idk you might just be unlucky or 2v2 is weird like that because more players=more chance that someone else is going to go first. As for underdog, it should definitely be lowered.

Warmaker04 -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/20/2013 15:18:50)

Exploding, lets laugh together bro.
1 level =
NOT ONLY 4 STAT POINTS
1 gun damage
1 armor def/ stat
1 aux damage
1 primary damage
1 health and energy

U maybe forgot for that. also its big difference to be 34 and 35. if u have 30 tech 30 dex and 11 support like 35 lvl
the 34 lvl will have 29 tech 29 dex 10 support and - 4 stat points, if all items are upgraded
ALSO THE HEALTH AND ENERGY increases with lvl

big difference. U cant see that but i can.
and u talk for that much things nothing? Cmon. 35 have way more advantage than 34 lvl.
And to be fair the 34 lvl should start first.
Not agreed, 34 will have - 1 stats on all upgraded than 35, 34 will have - 1 hp and - 1 energy than 35, ( 34 and 35 ) 4 stat points.

I agreed what admins said. The 34 lvl would start first. ( but still if he dont, the 35 have way more advantage and here is how the battle comes unfair peace of meat.

ED Prince of Shadows -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/20/2013 16:07:33)

What is the cap for chance to go first?

Melbourne -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/21/2013 10:28:17)

@warmaker now picture that but as a 31 facing 35's and you have my predicament.

Cookielord12 -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/21/2013 10:47:43)

Yea, this is kinda annoying the hell out of me. I have 75 Sup and I go first 2/10 times against opponents with <46 Sup.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/21/2013 11:14:32)

@warmaker: Here's my problem with underdog advantage-

Level 34 STR merc against a level 35 STR merc. As we know, both typically have 20 support (minimum amount). Due to the massive underdog advantage, I predict the level 34 going first at least 65% of the time. When you have 2 strength mercs, it's rare that you kill with exact damage. Therefore, an extra 4 stat points and a pathetic 1 damage and armor per weapon is going to be literally nothing, and the higher level will be at a humongous disadvantage. The 4 stat points could only save the higher level through dex (and very rarely, HP), which would only increase their previous block chance by less than 2%.

Goony -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/22/2013 1:02:29)

A change to 1st strike formula is coming in the next update!

I'll let Rabblefroth explain the details of the change in the patch notes, but the new method will make it highly unlikely that a same level player with around 40 less support will go 1st...

Also the changes will incorporate the jugger and teams level/support much better and the chance to go 1st will be determined by support more than ever before!

NDB -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/22/2013 1:05:20)

^ Yay!

King Helios -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/22/2013 1:05:39)

^ Thank you so much for changing jugg first-chance! LOVE it!

Renegade Reaper -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/22/2013 2:14:42)

good, support has been needing a buff.

Giras Wolfe -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/22/2013 2:44:29)

Excellent! Having only 20 support should be a serious weakness now, because more balanced builds will always get the drop on you.

Ranloth -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/22/2013 7:08:52)

Oh? That's interesting, Goony. Perhaps Support-leaning Focus 5 BM will be useful if I tweak it. Not bad.

ScarletReaper -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/22/2013 9:02:54)

@Trans, That is the build I am using and it is STRONG. Only lose to those dang strength massacre bounty's. I also hate this. It seems like I go first most of the time, but EVERY time I have gone second it was to < 25 support. And they were the same level. I wouldn't have even minded if they'd been lower level cause that makes sense, but we were both 35. [:@]

doomkiller98 -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/22/2013 10:05:39)

Blood mage Support 5 focus
Tech mage Support will also rule again...
Heh better get working on a build ;)

Ranloth -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/22/2013 10:09:46)

@ScarletReaper
I planned it prior to Omega but never used it but went for tanky Focus 5 with Yeti (to disable other Support builds + deal with some Strength). :P And Strength will have its progression weakened so this may aid you (and all of us really). If heal was to scale again - even by a little - then Support can make its return for all classes, not just the ones which have abuseable skills.

Remorse -> RE: Support and chances of going first (2/22/2013 10:16:22)

And boom goes the easy STR build wins :D

As long as they start less then 30% of the time, it will be much harder for them to now get effortless wins :)

This news is also getting me extremely excited for the other balances changes :)
