How it works: At a certain point, when STR is high enough to be considered "OP", it should make the attacks less accurate: The STR abuser will miss more attacks(blocks and deflects alike), the higher the stat is after that gap.

The point of all this: So that there might be a point in having a defensive build and discourage the Str abuse.

What i mean about defensive builds:
So far, the builds in which are focused in the offensive (like STR builds) are benefited with rage and the only thing you can rely on most of the time is "lucky blocks or deflects" which will further enrage your opponent even more, not enough to stop all of the offensive. [&:]

...and supposedly you will say something like this: but that will ruin all Str builds!!! 11! oneone :
Well, you can still have your str at the gap and raise your skill points on your STR based skills (like double strike, berserker ..etc) and do about considerable damage, but energy consuming.
Or you can just don't care at all and raise your strength. Some builds might not have that much high dex / tech or just have the same as yours, which will give you about the same chances or close to the same, plus, there are skills which are unblocked and depend on your str.





Well, anyway this is just my idea, give you opinions based in what you thing is wrong and should improve / or at least just a reply saying that you agree/disagree.

Like Agility, adding a soft cap is just a bandage to the actual issue. The true way to handle it is to change the stat progressions so either strength is less useful or defenses are more useful rather than to start adding penalties to a character because they wish to have that many points into a stat at one time.

^Exactly. Which is exactly why changing the HP progression was a better method of fixing high HP builds than Agility.

I don`t get your point, I play as 100% offence with berserker, hybrid armor and blood commander on max and I don`t see your so called ``strength abuse`` since there is a lot of people who can kill me in pvp, and when I duel bounty hunters a good amount of them remove my dex and I miss most attacks and the berserker and I only win those guys when I have allot of luck, not to include when tech mages remove my tec and almost one hit kill me, not to mention that to use berserker you need to waste one turn, that means you MUST star the battle, otherwise your screwed.
And you suggestion to the STR stat does not make any sense because when you level up, you put your points in what would make you better, if after STR 60 (for example) you start getting this ``less accurate`` attacks and of course more strength it would be the same as getting NOTHING, because your strength is neutralized by your additional lack of accuracy, that way only idiots or people with 50% connect would add more STR after that line. English is not my first language sorry.

Not to mention that before OMEGA update it was almost impossible to play with pure STR, unless you where a Varium dude.(I`m not Varium all tough now I got all items with points)

Well i think that after say 50 str you start getting negitive effects towards your hits, that will be the only way you can combat the high str builds.

@rakrotay: Seriously, i understand that English is not your main language (it isn't mine too), but it won't make sense to you if you don't understand what i am saying in english.
...Anyway, for me, even though i have an considerable stat points advantage, they can still connect attacks while being able of damaging me with unblockable skills (chairmans platinum for example).
If you are worried that you might not be able to be an strength mercenary anymore, don't worry, because that is not the point of what i am saying:

@The ND Mallet Guy : Right, so you are rather talking about methods of balancing instead of the suggestion itself, because agility didn't go so well, it doesn't make the method wrong anyway.
And seriously, agility decreased defensive stats in function of how much health we had. These are just chances. Seriously, chances. Affects as much, as having shadow arts level 1.

You might not even notice, depending on how they are scaled and the defenses decrease from agility, WERE clearly noticed and hurt a lot too. The amount of defense you lost wouldn't make up for the health you invested.
Seriously, nerfing in any way is also a penalization, (in your case)you are stopping that person from getting that much of strength (resulting normally in being fixed with just an increase of stats or improvement on the skill), i am letting the person keep the strength but in turn also having a risk of being blocked/deflected from his attack.

What i mean from this is not making it 100% to be blocked with any build, but rather making it that, if you are an 100% Tank (both high DEX and TECH), it makes your build more useful against the 100% offensive enemy. [&:]

Still, they did implemented your choice of fix, so you can judge yourself after this balance patch.

Veneeria, dude, all Connect I can get is 2% and that is just WAY TO LOW, and don`t try to be the guy who say that other people are wrong without pointing their mistake you smart ass, and your suggestion will make STR build limited and will only work until a certain level, so yeah your idea is bad, as I said, playing with my STR build now after Omega update finally gave me a 50% win rate, so yeah if you wanna have a god build good luck trying to do that, there will always be some one that is born to kill you, I got many weakness, but at least it is playable, now you want to make STR crap again? You know STR was good before OMEGA only for varium people and it`s not my fault if you got traumatized from them.

I agree, and I think it should be the same way for support. I would say once you get over 100 str or supp, you start to get blocked and deflected more.

Lol, Artix doesnt even make this game....

That aside, I think we all know str builds have been sufficiently nerfed in this update.
