Patch Notes - 1.5.3

NEW CHANGES/FEATURES:
  • The Golden Yeti Tournament is now live!
  • New Limited Quantity swords available on the Alydroid in Frysteland
    • Azrael's Reaper (Physical)
    • Azrael's Spirit (Energy)
    • Both include the Mark of Azrael core (+5% Crit Chance)
  • Rusted Assault Bot
    • Now the Assault Bot P (energy version now Assault Bot E)
    • Equipped to Overlord Guard
    • Damage is now equivalent to Assault Bot E
  • Players can now earn up to 7 Blue Stars
  • Dropped initial language file load by ~25%

BALANCE CHANGES:
  • Each point of damage now requires 4.5 point of Strength, up from 4
  • Defense and Resistance now scale at the same rate (previously you would get more Resistance per Technology than Defense per Dexterity)
  • Smoke Screen requirement changed from 14-41 to 15-33
  • Stun Grenade energy cost lowered by 3
  • Hybrid Armor now rquires Support instead of Dexterity
  • First Strike overhaul:
    • Old formula overly confusing and scaled poorly
    • New formula = From a base of 50%, gain +1.5% chance to go first for each point of Support you have over your opponent, and +5% for each level under your opponent.
    • Example: Level 21 with 28 Supp VS Level 20 with 30 Supp. Level 20 player gains 5% for being one level lower, and 3% for having 2 more Support, for a 58% chance to go first.

BUGS FIXED:
  • Infernal Android special cooldown was incorrectly set to 3 turns (should have been 4)
  • Assimilation could grant more energy than intended if the target was nearly out of energy
  • Reistance buffs were not stacking correctly (Ex: Blood Shield and Energy Shield)
  • Sellback values were always rounding down, instead of to the nearest integer
  • Concussion Shot and Pyro Fly could disable a skill the target did not own
  • Armor stats were not properly being used in certain battle calculations
  • Attacks with multiple hits could show the wrong damage if the attack did the minimum possible damage
  • Certain gear was not showing up properly on Character Pages

@sky ~ there a lot easier to survive against.. face it they have a CD on there "abusive" move.. strength has no cd its skills might but not the stat itself >.> and tech isn't an offensive stat so only
offensive skills are effected by it.. plus most classes have a way to fight against high energy dmg ( TM ~ Blood shield, BH/BM energy shield, TM/CH malf ( ch PA ) and merc has atom smash/ PA )

yep but plasma damage/energy ratio seems to be greater than its equivalent.

They made hybird armor from dex to sup 42 now we can use Adrenaline skill that gives rage with hybird armor but low str even if we have like 26 dmg , people would use intimidate with Omega sword Speical abality to rduce the dmg to 15-16 that happend to me , and now BH will be stronger lol tech mages also will be spaming Technican + plasma bolt and then super charge mercenary and teactical mercenary might get nerfd now .

REALLY?
Tech's scaling is now as slow as dex, now they had just buffed strength EVEN more. If it was the other way around, defenses would have been fine.

Did they increase the amount of points how dex scales or decrease the amount of points tech scales?

Basically will it be harder to get good tech or easier to get good dex?

When I seen this "Reistance buffs were not stacking correctly (Ex: Blood Shield and Energy Shield)"

I was correct about energy shield not working as it should but was called a liar by certain players and that it works just fineso which other skills I am correct about.

Bought the Sword. Spent 500'ish Varium to buy and then upgrade with Credits, otherwise it'd have drained all my Credits saves & I have 13K Varium spare as it is.

@hun That bug was about how Blood Shield and E. Shield didn't stack so +20 from E. Shield wouldn't stack with +10 from Blood Shield right. Nothing wrong with either skill until they were both added to the same character.

Ah a good question.

Resistance was brought in line with Defense, so you get Resistance a little slower than before (1 Res per 3 Tech instead of 2.7 Tech).
That was a rather old design decision that doesn't apply any more since weapon damage is now homogenous.

They also badly hit tanks as well, lower damage output, lowered defenses too.

No one nerfed tech, Only the scaling, a tech nerf is like removing the deflect from tech.

RabbleFroth, So basically you nerfed Plasma Cannon, Plasma Rain, Overload, and Super Charge on the Blood Mage side.

Plasma Bolt, Plasma Rain, Overload, and Super charge on the tech Mage side.


For these tech/dex based skills the Tech Mage has malfunction to increase damage on all those skills while the Blood Mage only has reflex boost to increase the dex based skills.

So now it would take more points to get good protection from dex and tech than every before giving a bigger advantage to class with smoke and malfunction.

@ Hun, Really!!! The statistic progression change to technology is related to resistance values and has nothing to do with the skill progressions! *rolls eyes*

If anything they slightly buffed all those skills you mentioned as Resistance scales slower, so energy attacks will do marginally more damage...

Hun: ONLY The resistance, Not TECH. Making it scale slower doesn't mean that they nerfed tech improving skills e.e
