Seems like they are happening about twice as often as I would like to see them. Cut their rates in half?

Reasoning being? No, just "they happen too often in my opinion" isn't really a valid reasoning.

It'd be the same as I said there isn't enough blocks and deflects. Let's double them.

I get their are a lot of complaints about random blocks and too high of a block chance or too many deflects but as Baron said you didn't give us much to go off of...

My reasoning is my opinion, based on a lot of... playing this game. If you played more, you would probably understand...
You want numbers? look them up in the wiki.
They happen way too often and are too much of a game changer... I think their effectiveness should be cut in half.
You can disagree obviously, it was meant to be open to debate/discussion.

Opinions can be biased. Also we didn't ask numbers on how to calculate the effects but perhaps prove it with numerical data as of to why should that be changed. And what for? How about high damage builds? How you plan on nerfing them to balance it out? Dex and Tech too, these will receive a nerf if that was to be halved so how would you buff it?

"These happen way too often" and "I think their effectiveness should be cut in half" means nothing. This isn't the basis for them to be nerfed. They are fine as they are. You CAN switch to tank build but if you get deflected/blocked whilst you have very low Tech/Dex or there's a big difference in stats (or simply both..) then there isn't any issue. Invest in these stats instead to lower the %.

U like it as it is, great! With all the blocks and deflects cores running around these days, you know the base amount will be nerfed eventually.

If it will be nerfed then why should it be halved? I'm more of a tank build rather than abuser (Strength or Support) so deflections do help me with abusers because I actually do invest in defensive stats. But if you were to touch these, what's your idea of buffing Dex and Tech to make up for halved rates? In relation to offence, wouldn't that make defence completely useless? What then?

zion, It probably was ur unluck or anything like that. A caster mage had 100 tech and i used 5 times aux and i deflected just 1 time of all 5.
And remember that there are cores, shadow arts, that cant be avoided

Trans, defensive stats help with def and resistance and most of the skills. the blocks and deflects should be a random bonus, not something that happens on average every other round.
This is not based on anything specifically happening to make me upset, I'm doing quite fine w/ 2v2 support builds, thank you. It's just an observation: blocks and deflects happen too often and are the biggest cause of "WT# the game is broken I quit" in the game.
I THINK it should be less often - anyone can disagree if they want.

Then get your stats closer to the opponent's to lower the chance for these effects. The bigger the difference, the higher chance they have to deflect/block you and vice versa.

If you don't like the deflects and blocks, invest in dex and tech. That could help, instead of abusing. I admit, I sometimes use the OP builds, but when deflects and everything happen I find away around it.
