Smackie El Frog -> In Game Reporting abuse (3/1/2013 13:07:20)

There's got to be a better way to go about this in game reporting than what the current system is.

My alt ALWAYS get's chat locked when I just sit at Oz. I don't even have to say anything to get muted. Sometimes before I even close out the whats new screen when I log in, I am already chat locked from in game reports.

This is such a broken feature its silly.

I say keep the in game report feature but REMOVE the chat lock feature from it. Unless a mod approves the submitted report.

J.U.S.T.I.C.E. -> RE: In Game Reporting abuse (3/1/2013 13:16:27)

BUT were you using bad language?

Smackie El Frog -> RE: In Game Reporting abuse (3/1/2013 13:19:43)

No. They were false reports saying I am a hacker and stuff like that. I'm not even chatting in public and I get reported.

DeathiZClarity -> RE: In Game Reporting abuse (3/1/2013 15:29:58)

Yeah. It gets annoying a lot of people will just report you cuase you win battles against them with a lot of hp left. "You lucky noob varium player" Lol?
I agree, the system needs to be fixxed.

Hard boy -> RE: In Game Reporting abuse (3/1/2013 18:44:36)

looooool are you the lvl 1 omgbbq something something?

Mother1 -> RE: In Game Reporting abuse (3/1/2013 19:00:47)

Yes that is him hard boy. Plus I see it a lot myself as well because he has cheevos that a level one now could never get.

As for this idea supported. Never been a victim of this, but those who are my friends or people I know in game suffer because of this. There need to be a better way of doing it.

Hard boy -> RE: In Game Reporting abuse (3/1/2013 19:19:52)

lol i was wondering why u warent talking today, everyone reporting you for "hacking"

Waxor9001 -> RE: In Game Reporting abuse (3/1/2013 19:45:48)

Supported, in game reporting is useless because it can be abused by anyone.

King Oranges -> RE: In Game Reporting abuse (3/1/2013 21:58:52)

Supported.
I got muted twice because of this.
These noobs at oz world 7 thought it would be funny if they reported me 4 times.

Fahim -> RE: In Game Reporting abuse (3/2/2013 15:38:28)

I support this idea. The reporting feature should be fixed, and before someone actually gets muted a Moderator should verify it.

The Incredible Hulk -> RE: In Game Reporting abuse (3/2/2013 16:26:20)

Supported.

Basicball -> RE: In Game Reporting abuse (3/2/2013 16:39:52)

Hiyas everyone above,

I'll just reply to a few things here:
quote:

in game reporting is useless because it can be abused by anyone.

If someone is abusing the reports, you should gather some proof, and send it to the lawman, so they get punished.

quote:

before someone actually gets muted a Moderator should verify it.

The problem is, that moderators are not always available, and thus, the situation can arise where there's a lot of people swearing, where they can't be stopped.

With kind regards,
~ Basicball

Lycus -> RE: In Game Reporting abuse (3/2/2013 19:04:22)

Would just like to note that we do have plans for a major overhaul of the report system and have done for a while! We do want to make it much more like AQW's system where all reports are dealt with manually by Moderators so no false punishments, such as those mentioned here, are possible. There are certainly many issues with the current system, it is old and has been there forever pretty much and it is about time for the change. The main issue is, with the work that is required for the change to be made would take at least a week of full on work to do and right now there are balance issues and others releases which are taking priority. I can certainly understand where annoyance of the current system comes from and I do sympathise with those who have fell victims to it, not that that means a lot.

I can reassure you that as soon as we have the time to allocate our resources and time towards this issue and to overhaul the system, we will do so, and the result will hopefully be a much much more reliable system that helps both you guys and us to make the game as safe as reliable as well as minimising undeserved mutes!

Due to this being something we already have on the to-do list, it is purely 'when' it will happen rather than 'if' it will happen, I am going to lock this up. Hope this clears things up and covers your concerns!
