i used to play around with a varium mage pure dex/tech plasma/stun a year ago or so, got to level 30 and my record was like 800 wins 100 loses 1v1 and 600-100 or so 2v2. Then i found a new game but i came back to check up on ED. i noticed the changes are pretty awesome but i was able to find something overpowering again even without varium.... support merc...
I know you guys know about support mercs but they can really be crazy good. of course im only 21 atm but its almost as easy as my old mage with no varium. max artillery strike 2 points in bunk buster, 1 in heal 7 in hybrid armor. 96 health 66 energy couple points dex/tech 62 support,my defense is like 10-12 +3 +4 resist 10-12 +3 +3, crazy bazooka energy damage, i win all 2v2 except when i get dumb partners which is alot, 208 wins 68 losses,... and 1v1 i almost always win except when i fight tanks 5 level's higher, my 1v1 record is 258 wins 38 losses, ... 1v1 routine is bunk buster, artillery strike, 50% of fights end after artillery but if they continue, aux then bunk buster again almost noone lives this but tank 5 level's higher.
So there it is... make one and own or maybe use this post as a balance discussion, just my observation from the game.
Also its funny cause no other support merc beats me, they all have 65 health but higher support so they go first, after aux i heal, then they artillery and im left with 40 health or so, i aux, they hit me for 15-20 then artillery kills them. get some health support mercs!
