Ever since Omega has been released, every stat has been taken down. That doesn't seem too right....
Well, now let's see why.
The first problem:
#1 strength builds- the one build that always beat out everyone
What was done: more starting life and energy
What could have been done: Life being buffed back up to two in terms of progressions

Outcome of what was done:
-Strength builds not needing to invest in energy
-Balance problems# 2,3, and the list would probably go on

Predicted outcome of what could have been done:
-Cores less influential and less likely to be overpowered, due to extended battles
-Support builds(Ch's and Mage's) lasting long enough to fully reap the benefits of their malfunction, thus giving them a chance to compete
-extended battles, which will allow for more strategic and enjoyable game play

So if health was back to progressions of two, do you think the problem would have ended there?

I replaced my tech mage str build with a caster tech mage. Win rates suck but its better than being called a stat abooser.

Oh well, back to Counterstrike for a while

It is the few here on the forum that calls for constant nerfs while the majority are saying no more nerfs and you see what happens when I or any other suggest improving the skills of the Blood Mage we get attacked by the same people over and over again. they don't use any skills but weapons and bots so they know if the weak skills of the Blood mage gets buffed then there will be more viable builds and the more viable builds the less successful they will be.

Many players thought oh I just take his weapons and I will defeat him but many found that not to be the case.

Instead of the Nerfs what needed to happen which I have been addressing since Delta is the block equation. Since they adjusted it the blockable skills became unblockable.

Instead of them raising dex to be equal with tech they lowered tech to be equal with dex inadvertently nerfing the Plasma Cannon once again.

You notice they never touch the high energy draining skills but they disabled the boosters or that thy kept max cheap shot at only using 19 points of energy.

Both Hunter class have a debuff skill so all they have to do is debuff you and Cheap Shot their way to victory as they take all your energy.

It would be nice if health was back in intervals of two. Really, it seems like Omega isn't released yet and we're testing it, since it's really unbalanced ATM.
But would health in intervals of two create OPed builds?

Hun... they changed the resistance scaling they didn't dial back plasma cannons scaling to tech stat... if anything the BB now is = plasma cannon in terms of damage...

and when it comes to nerfs... you had to of seen it coming? they took out enhancements which made the 35 damage weapons and etc not hurt as much as they do now since players
now lack the 50+ extra stat points a long with any stat points they used to get high hp were now doubled in need due to the 1-1 hp instead of 1-2 like it was. This all caused defenses to
be lowered while damage on skills and attacks where still scaled up to that higher % therefor causing incredible unbalance between offense and defense.

If anything more nerfs will come until the skills and game are dialed back enough to compensate for the new lack of points/ defense.

To clarify, I'm talking about the situation right after omega had released. The balance situation all went downhill from there.

@Recon But the thing is health is the stat that could be overpowered for all classes, thus making it balanced.

@Rein can you clarify what you typed, I don't understand.

it's not that hard to get...

it's a new phase but the damage on most things is still in a state that it's like its' in delta but we have the defenses of omega... this causes damage to be obscenely high on
some skills and it will remain that way until the skills are dialed back to be on par with the defenses

ReinVI, that is why I put this about the BB Cannon

"inadvertently nerfing the Plasma Cannon once again."

In the description they need to take out this out of the description

"As a Blood Mage, you will be able to use the devastating Plasma Cannon"

With Nanosteel high dex/support a merc got 47 Critical damage with Bunker Buster on me,
When I shot someone with low tech with my recent high tech moderate support build I only got 37 damage.
Over 90% of the time I seen Bunker buster used I see it going critical with low support and low tech and
less than 5% of the time I used Plasma cannon with high tech and moderate support I don't see critical damage
even at rage.

The nerf they made to Bunker Buster did not make much of a difference what they should have did was buff the
Plasma cannon instead too match match the damage and test each one in battle on players with the different
dex and tech and if the battle damage is not the same then make adjustments to bring the damage up not nerfments to bring
the damage down.

The only way for cores not to be overpowered is increased life.

Everything will be more reasonable with more health points. Everyone will receive assurance with a full-length or "extended" battle as some call it.

Does not matter how much health you have if there is no blocking and they are constantly getting 40+damage, high critical damage, or high bot damage (no matter what bot they use) it will not balance the game or stop the nerfs.

In the The Tournament Continues thread I put reasons why the tournament should have never started as the game is in this condition but it is one of the few that negatively attacks me and others that calls for constant nerfs that responded first and they always get their way.

We will likely not go back to 2 health per stat point.

The reason being that when it scales that quickly, it is always worth getting over any other stat. The optimal build on probably every class would be to just stack as many points in health as you possibly could.

Agility was a poor solution to that issue because it just created a "soft cap" to health (you were allowed to get more health, but it was very very rarely worth doing), and if you remember, everyone stacked health up to the point where Agility kicked in and stopped because it was the best way to spend your stats.

Please do something about cybers! Static charge is a pathetic skill! Plasma grenade cost more than stun greande.
Venom strike needs a buff. Shadow arts is a bad skill, needs overhaul. Lately you nerfed malfuction.
Tweaks would be appreciated very much!

If anything, PA needs to be taken away from CH if any of your suggested changes were to be implemented.

You should NOT have a passive shield+debuff+energy regain in one class.

And EMP.

yea l do support the old health rules 2 for 1 it would help tech mages alot or put a cap on health up to 110, they caped manna. why did they have to nerf str. for plasma bolt, l do not under stand that one.

tech mages have a big enough problem with the new omega rules .

No...Just no.

Shadow Arts already increases blocking by 10%, this is raised by further 4% with the new core coming up on 14% block. And this can be raised with Dex.

I kinda agree with this because of all these unblockables: Gun, aux, robot specials, meteor shower, chairman's fury.
Hopefully there won't be any unblockable cores coming out later on.
