My ideal battle is 12 Hours long survival of the fittest.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: How long should battles be? (3/5/2013 0:06:46)

1. It depends on my build. Some builds have the intention of particularly fast wins/losses, while others (like the tank IA build I'm using) is meant to last at least 7 turns, if not more.

2. My average battle length now is 7-10 turns. When I was using support merc it rarely went over 6 turns.

3. Luck itself is just messed up. The base chances are too high, and the luck cores really benefit certain build types far too much. Because of luck cores, fights are pretty much random. Without luck cores, my fights could consistently and easily ALWAYS be more than 6 turns.

This is the key problem.

What would be your ideal average length of battles?

10-20

What is your current average battle length and are you finding that the battles are too short?

Usually if the opponent is someone that puts up a good fight (not someone that I an jut kill instantly), it takes at least 6-7 turns. Record was 26-would've been longer if I hadn't dished out the Azrael core at the last moment to stop the heals. When they are a "bad" player, I'd say about 4-5.

Does luck play too much of a role in the battles?

It is extremely rare to find a battle where everything goes according to the way its supposed to. I can't really say whether or not this is too much or not, but there is definitely too much luck overall.

What would be your ideal average length of battles?
Well that would be 5 or 4.

What is your current average battle length and are you finding that the battles are too short?
Nope.

Does luck play too much of a role in the battles?
Too much.

What would be your ideal average length of battles?
The fastest battles possible should last a few turns after an Ultimate is used.
What is your current average battle length and are you finding that the battles are too short?
They usually only last to an Ultimate or the turn right after. They are often short.
Does luck play too much of a role in the battles?
Because of how short the battles are, luck tends to be more pronounced and noticeable. In say a 100 turn battle, the luck wouldn't be so noticeable.

What would be your ideal average length of battles?

The answer is never absolute, but as long as possible so long as it is climatic but still being exciting. An estimate of my preference would be 10 turns minimum or 5 minutes minimum (which I believe I had mentioned before).

What is your current average battle length and are you finding that the battles are too short?

In turns, between 5 and 10 (low). In time, between 30 seconds and 5 minutes in low damage cases (also low here).

Does luck play too much of a role in the battles?

Yes. When I have expected another turn of life, my opponent critically damages me for a KO (even though I have high Support and a Support advantage). Or, when I expect to be KO'd, I deflect my opponent while having low Technology myself and my KO becomes his/her KO. Luck is vastly more negative than it is positive and you can see it is degrading the happiness of players more than it is promoting.

Luck should be reasonable. Luck should be in favour of the preceding stat that it applies to. If I had every last stat point into Dexterity and my opponent did not allot a single point of Dexterity... no way should I BE blocked, if a block does happen I should be doing the block. Now luck should not be the the most occurring event in a battle, no it should not be frequent; luck should however be probable given the proper circumstances. Those with a high rating of luck probability from stats should procure those events.
