if its only 1 symbol then it is fine, but not multiple symbols, it would cause lag especially in 2v2 and a populated area, less lag the better.

that would only work on weapons that doesn't have gradients and animations/effects, so the color customize-able weapons would look dull and boring unless players are fine with that, but it is a unnecessary addition.
