DeathiZClarity -> missions (3/8/2013 10:27:42)

In one of my other threads a few people were mentioning the Luck factor in missions.
So what about having a choice in what type of mission you want to do?

For example, the yeti pelts.

You could either go for the 20 yeti pelts with low drop rate, or 150 with high drop rate.

Thoughts?

Not supported

As I said in the other thread the entire point of these missions was for them to make you work for your prize, and if you didn't want to work for it use varium to get the final prize. Adding another mission were it can be done easier would defeat the whole purpose of this.

The only way it would make sense is having both take the same amount of battles on average, at which point it's essentially useless anyways.

You'll still have to work for it, its just not luck-based I've been farming yeti hulk for hours and still havent gotten a single pelt.

Supported but I don't think it can be implemented.

^ Lol same but its a nice idea for the devs to wrap around.

The idea behind a lower drop rate is to make you feel more frustrated and more likely to buy varium to skip the process entirely. You could easily make a quest with 50 drops at a 25% drop and a quest with 100 drops at 50% drop rate, but the difference between them would be that players would be less flustered if they get the Pelts more often than if they get the 25% drop rate.

DeathiZClarity -> RE: missions (3/8/2013 14:31:57)

Ok well what about 500 at 25% drop rate. This would still take a long time, and a lot of people will still buy the variums instead.
Its just an option for the people to have a less luck-based mission.
