Ok so before it was like the price of an item also helped in determining the rarity score [eg:- a 28k "rare" armor would be better than a 10k "rare" armor]

This was done so tht ppl would not stack up on cheap items to get a high score... but now with omega we can reduce the price of the item by removing all the stats and buying it for a cheap price, this would help people attain high rarity scores by buying cheap items and is tht really ok? i mean i knw how hard some people worked to get their rarity scores high so this would kind of be impartial to them since they must have wasted a lot of credits....

So isn't it time they changed the rarity scores and revamped the distribution of them? Can't actually think of a good solution so any ideas people have can be discussed here...

The rarity has already been changed.

Formula:
550*Rarity + 0.7*VariumValue

Rarity: 0=Normal, 1=Seasonal, 2=Limited, 3=Rare, 4=Ultra
VariumValue: It is determined by the amount of varium you spent on the weapon (cores and skill updates are also included)

For example lets take Azrael:
You purchase it with 195 varium and then purchase 1 skill core with 200 varium. And the staff is seasonal rare.

550*1 + 0.7*(195+200) = 826.5
So the total rarity score of this item is 826.5

From what I know, it has been mentioned before that if you purchase a rare weapon at level 14, its rarity is way lower than if its at level 35.

If you buy a seasonal rare, in this case Azrael, with credits. Then how does the formula work?

^If you buy everything with credits it only gives you the base rarity.

550*1 + 0.7*0 = 550
