Need a nerf.

Just to easy to win as one.

I have a merc alt, its way too powerful.

They always go first, 99% of the time they crit aux for 50+

You heal, they crit multi for 60

You do whatever they do some attackk which crits again.

You dead.

My proposed nerf:

Reduce AS's base damage by 10.

It already increases with an offensive stat, aux+multi combo is too powerful right now.

Merc already got nerfed what 10 times in 3 months...and now you want to nerf it more?

Support Merc is not OP...Remove the energy and they're 100% useless, remove the Aux (Yeti special) and they are easy target. Don't forget support abusing comes at the cost of Def and Res. If you got a problem with them dealing high dmg. just invest more skills in Field Medic. After the first 2 turns (Support merc use Aux and then AS) they are pretty much easy to defeat as they are next to defenseless without any "major" attacks.

Son, I have a lv5 heal, 5 focus WITH Omega Yeti.

Problem is not the aux, but the multi.

And what about mages? They can't take away their energy.

They get that back by generator.

No one cares if they got nerfed a billion times, if it's OP, it's OP.

Ok.

TM got nerfed million times but has 1 OP build that always wins. Would you nerf it or leave it since it has been nerfed before.


Yeah, no.

No. Just no. They are easy to beat as it is. I VERY rarely lose to them. Usually I see one and I'm like "Oh easy win. ^_^" They are super glass cannon. Either the aux and artillery strike crit and kill you, or they are screwed. end of stroy.

Drain EP, use Concussion Core and hope for Multi to be disabled, use Shields (Crits ignore 50% BUT it'll reduce more damage than Crit with no Shield), Heal, Omega Yeti. Out-tanking them is the easiest way to go, which means you gotta survive through Multi and Aux, very easy considering the fact you have good Heal (I've also got it at Lvl 5) and Yeti. If they start 1st and use Aux, wait until they are about to rage/Aux is about to be used again and use Yeti to disable it.

Support mercs are as flimsy as a leaf. Let them smash you with damage, then heal and beat them up. They have both pathetic offense and defense once their 2 big attacks are down. If you see a rage aux coming up, use yeti chomp or Azrael's will.

^ Let them strike you with Aux, Heal with high lv Field Medic, let them strike with Aux Strike and finish them off. Both HP and Res is bad at a support abusing Merc so they're a piece of cake once Aux and Aux Strike has been used.

Assimilate, Energy Shot, Energy Rain. Your choice whether you make use outta cores or not. Whilst cores aren't necessary, they can come in helpful. If you don't need EP draining core then we can assume you have your way around it, right? BMs have Cores only but that isn't as much of a problem for myself.

If techmage throw up defense shield. If bloodmage, use reflex boost. If they crit, heal and they are now useless. ^_^

Battle goes like this.

MErc goes 1st and crits aux for 50+

I heal.

Crits multi for 50+

WHat the hell am I supposed to do now?

Then use a Shield instead. You have Yeti so you can stop 2nd Aux.

Go ahead and throw up reflex boost after they shoot you with Aux and help them get 55+ crit damage with Artillery strike having them laugh to victory, In 1vs1 high dex with level 4 Reflex boost merc went first shot me with Aux took over half my health I decided try this reflex boost Idea boom 62 Critical damage and if I did not put up Reflex boost he would not have went Critical I should now I tried it both with and without.

Don't nerf just buff the other multis and let us have the battle of the multis and let all who comes into 2vs2 and 2vs1 suffer at the hands of the multis that dare not come in with a multi.

Report it in ED Bugs section. If you don't then it clearly isn't a bug because you've done your math wrong. Shields work, you have to perhaps do your math better to see the difference rather than claim L8 DA has less Crits than L10 DA (did you think that L10 has higher Support req thus higher chance?), or claiming BMs were nerfed into oblivion thus ending up with Bludgeon being the only useful skill, or Plasma Cannon dealing 40 damage at around 30 Res & not being enough. Math was correct in all cases except for you claiming DA affects Crits and Reflex allowing them to Crit more for unknown reason. If you think it's a bug then report it rather than claim something that is false and do nothing about it. Pretty much spreading false rumours.

If you need help beating them then invest some points into BL and Heal rather than keeping them at Lvl 1 + casting Lvl 1 Reflex. You're welcome.

@hun uhh yea, the purpose of a support build is to get high critical chance, so if that doesn't work for ya, maybe you should tweak your build? I have 102 health 5 focus tank build and I seem to wipe the floor with them. I also notice you seem to have a yeti, so try using that to stop 2nd aux.

Since certain players always bragging about 5 focus build here is the results of the skills with 5 focus build targeting the players with the lowest stats in 2vs2.

5 focus

If you don't want to believe the results retrain and do the same thing keep it 5 focus and put the stat the skill pertains too to the highest and do your own tests in 2vs2.

In 2vs2

Single Player with malfunction because his partner left

without malfunction

withot malfunction

as the merc got 55+ damage on each person on my side that was with the dex/defense above as his
tech/resistance was twice as less.

Yes. 55 damage is possible with half of your Tech. We call it a Critical hit. Yours aren't criticals hence why they are lower. >.>

I don't know where to start on my opposition of the post.

Support mercs do not, and probably never will need a nerf.

Tell me how you would beat 2 support mercs in 2v2.

You mean to say that they should not be nerfed because you can beat one build by spending $50 AND 45k credits on the yeti and new promos.

If you have to do that much, you know something needs fixing.

ATLEAST, put multi ni countdown when aux is used and vice versa.

2 turning is too powerful as of yet.

And if you want your build to win against every combination out there without counters then I could say the same with your logic. Sure support merc has 2 strong attacks but after that they have to wait 3 more turns before they can use their aux again.

Besides the build is already a glass cannon since they have extremely low defenses due to support spamming, and are putting everything into 2 attacks. yet with all these faults you want to nerf them again because you don't want to use one of the counters that is available to all?

@ansh0 high field medic for both players will usually be useful. I play support merc for 2v2 and trust me, it's harder than you think. Theres always somone taking your mana away, disabling your weapons and stunning you (as other support builds take place) my win rate for 2v2 is 60%. As long as there is strategy involved, the support merc will be taken down. But I have to agree with you, because I use 3 high hitting skills right now, my aux, multi and bunker buster, this made my win rate 70%, which is very OP for a level 28, especially if I get partnered with a bounty hunter, so I just suggest to make bunker buster improve with str instead though, thats all I gotta say

Strength Bunker is abuse all over again, you're giving unblockable attack that is like Fireball but this one has 25% chance to Crit and ignores Defence... Adding a band-aid to prevent abuse, which doesn't exist even, won't really do anything but create another balance issue. It's fine as it is.
