I made my first sword today and I'd like to hear your feedback on how I could make it better.

that head looks like drekon's moose king staff head, is is your real work? plus the blade and the hilt lacks detail, try to stick to a theme and add more detail.

The head is, I was going to give credit to him when i put it in the official thread.


Also its not finished but its also hard to add detail with the default 'paint' program. I don't have very many tools to work with.

First off, i enjoy the attempt and it looks rather cool for such a simple design (i know u put work, not saying it is easy by any means).

Second, try to use all your own material. That way you can feel even more accomplished and a better chance of getting in-game if unique and creative.

Third, When you have a real suggestion for weapon/item you should post it here, in the Item/Weapon Suggestion Forum

i see, well then try to do what dabombexpert said, using a reference is fine but try not to use other's work even if you are gonna credit them.

You need more detail, but I think there is a limit to detail, because too much of it can make something look cluttered IMO.
