It currently debuffs based on the opponents highest base stat which is pretty dumb.

It should be based on a targets TOTAL stats.

I.E

Opponent with 45+30 str and 50+10 dex has his dex debuffed, not his strength.

What do you think guys?

DeathiZClarity -> RE: Omega Override (3/13/2013 15:20:28)

I believe the reason it nerfs the highest stat is so that players can counter it.

For example, a focus build

Strength: 45 +10
Dex: 45 +32
Tech: 45 + 32
Support: 46

A player can put that 1 little point extra on support, and BOOM, the core has been countered.
Considering most focus builds use robot gun/strike (unless your techmage or cyber)

ReinVI -> RE: Omega Override (3/13/2013 19:48:52)

Death the debuff sucks for the most part I mean on 45 stat it will only lose like what 10 points? thats .. nothing compared to a true debuff the only time i have seen it
be of ANY use was when you face people with 150 in a stat ( the supp mercs ) even then the debuff only took out 32 supp

DeathiZClarity -> RE: Omega Override (3/13/2013 19:55:10)

The point of it being so low is so that it cant be stacked with smoke/malf/intimidate to -60+

Plus the fact that its a skillcore, doesnt cost mana.

ReinVI -> RE: Omega Override (3/13/2013 20:23:09)

but the fact it's the omega phases weapon they should either buff it to be usable or make it a better skill.. I mean seriously :/ the first promo after it's release was like 10-20x better...

DeathiZClarity -> RE: Omega Override (3/13/2013 20:28:31)

I would love to have the omega cores. They are way better than the current one you cna equip to any item.

ansh0 -> RE: Omega Override (3/14/2013 1:35:33)

I am not complaining, I just feel that the skill should be changed as in how it calculates which stat to debuff.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Omega Override (3/14/2013 19:42:37)

It's arguable that omega cores are "better" than the ones anyone can get on primaries in the core shop. First of all, +1 damage on a yeti which is used around 2-3 times per fight isn't that good when 20 support builds are getting crits on me when I'm a tank with 60 support just cause of that cheap +4%. Also, an unblockable damage type is pretty neat when you can stack it with a gun, platinum's pride, etc... for lots of unblockable, strength-based options. Omega override is also bad against high HP builds with low overall base stats, and helps you in a minimal amount when fighting against these builds. Omega override is good for stacking on casters and support/strength builds, but otherwise it isn't that good.
