Stabilis -> RE: assimilation versus static charge LOL (3/17/2013 14:41:12)

Since Tech Mages do not really need more than 1 alternative to gain energy as they have Reroute, why not just let Assimilate purely be an energy destroyer? 35 energy removed at level 35 with a level 10 Assimilation, 1 energy removed at level 10 with a level 1 Assimilation. Basically level-progressed energy destruction. Simple right?

@ Midnightsoul

Did you read the description of Assimilation? It is suppose to drain energy, and give it to you at the same time. So this move is suppose to be two things in one so in all honestly that point you made isn't honestly valid.

@ Depressed void

Why do you think they originally kept the energy drain/gain low for? So it wouldn't OP the class due to it having reroute but also have a means of draining/gaining small amounts of energy. Like I said while I agree that the new move is vastly OP since it does more then the original static did, making it a pure energy destroyer IMO isn't the best thing. Especially with if the move is called Assimilation which is to become one with something which in this case you opponent's energy becomes one with yours.

If that is your opposing logic I have nothing to say.

@ depressed

I don't oppose a nerf to this move if you have read my other posts to this topic. I oppose making the move completely an energy drain with nothing in return. In case you remembered before this buff no one truly complained about assimilation being OP since it was actually one of the most balanced if not slightly UP moves. What Rabble did to it overpowered the move even worse then the old static cyber hunters had which is why I agree that this move needs a nerf. Just not a nerf that would turn it into another version of atom smasher.

I do not need to read your posts just to get that you are whining about an idea that is feasible but you do not "like it". This is not about liking ideas this is about keeping skills within an area that does not break PVP concerning classes with Assimilation.

Because this idea is another "version" of Atom Smasher. Right...

Trifire -> RE: assimilation versus static charge LOL (3/17/2013 22:17:31)

yeah, It should be put at 50% energy regen and scale with str to be put on par with static charge. Also it should increase every 14 points of str put in.

Remorse -> RE: assimilation versus static charge LOL (3/18/2013 1:15:00)

I agree with depressed,

That's why I suggested 0-25% energy return and a slight increase in the drain.

When I say an increase in the drain I am referring to the orignal assim progression.

I am not even gonna consider fixing this broken disgrace they turned the skill into.

Anything slight, done to nerf assim now is no way near enough.

Return it to its original form ASAP, then make changes form that.

Mother1 -> RE: assimilation versus static charge LOL (3/18/2013 2:08:18)

@ remorse

In it's original form before this buff, there wasn't anything truly wrong with it IMO. returning it to it's original state then nerfing it some more would be overkill. I mean seriously what was truly wrong with the original assimilation? Even if you had maxed that out you would get less energy back from it then even the nerfed version of static.

Remorse -> RE: assimilation versus static charge LOL (3/18/2013 2:40:46)

^ Im implying return it to its original state then buff the energy drain slightly,

Never said nerf it at the original state.

Sorry for being misleading.
