So I was going around and I noticed how much weaker offensive stats. But I also noticed that strength can still be very OPed. There was this Blood Mage going around with 21-26 +35 named orti and I realized that str buids are still quite a bit strong and the really, the only good counter for str is support.

So do you guys think Field Medic should still scale with support?

Personally, I think yes. Like around every 6 support would be appropriate.

Not supported in the least. this would OP support spammers you know those builds that have 150+ support? a level 1 field medic for them with all that support would be the equal of a level 7-9 heal or even more which would undo any damage you would inflict on them for a mere 17 points. Heal looping support mages would come back as well which could cause issues.

oooohhhh....support spammers...so scaaarrryyy...

obviously they're not even close to effective anymore...

Im agree what mother said. Those make support players megahealing very easyly.
Reroute+heal+support+infernal android = immortal. losing only other same type build.
works too well bloodlust too.

Erm.. You forget the bit where everyone have Support? Even those with 50 Support (example of Focus 5) would get some benefit. And no one said it'd be old scaling of 1 HP/4 Support. You can slow it down drastically by, for example, double the amount so 1 HP/8 Support. For 160 Support, it'd be bonus of 20 HP, for 80 Support it's 10 HP and for ~50 Support, it'd be 6 HP. And Support abuse has absurdally low defences. Only Support abusers are Mercenaries, but that is NOT problem with Support but the skill at most.

That is new info to me.

hhmm.. That can be interesting. Still old threat ghosting me.

How about until 40 supp, it's 4 supp per 1 more point of hp
After 40, 80, 120, 160, etc, the supp required would be taken to the power of (200-milestone)/8

Banir -> RE: It's Safe to Scale Field Medic with Support now (3/20/2013 21:21:58)

Do you really think having a higher powered heal would really help support builds that much? The only difference for a support merc would be less points needed in Field Medic. Even then, they still die really fast. As for heal looping, it doesn't cost a lot to heal as it is. If the scaling is done right, those builds would only get a few extra points healed. The real builds affected by this are strength builds with 50 point heals.

theholyfighter -> RE: It's Safe to Scale Field Medic with Support now (3/22/2013 8:43:50)

You can simply add a limit to the MAX bonus health from support.

Ranloth -> RE: It's Safe to Scale Field Medic with Support now (3/22/2013 8:48:23)

^
And make it level scaled as well so it won't be like Agility.

theholyfighter -> RE: It's Safe to Scale Field Medic with Support now (3/22/2013 8:49:45)

What do you mean by level scaled? The MAX increase scaled by level?

Ranloth -> RE: It's Safe to Scale Field Medic with Support now (3/22/2013 8:51:34)

Maximum bonus you can get from Support. So at Lvl 10, it may be up to 8 HP more from Support (maximum) whilst at Lvl 30 it may be up to 20 HP more from Support. Basically, it'd prevent abuse.
